The rest is sculpted out of two part epoxy.](userimages/customs/48500/48279-1.jpg) Phoenix Cyclops | ![[X-Factor Havok 2.0] For this custom I was really inspired by a X-Factor Havok the Loosecollector had done in the Marvel Legends scale. The body is from MU Cyclops, except for the almost useless two finger visor triggering hand which makes no sense on any other character I've come across, ( I have a pile of these hands in my fodder bin.). The head is from a 'XMO Wolverine comic style Gambit'. I wasn't sure if this head would work at first, but once I got the colour on I really liked it. The jacket is entirely sculpted from two part epoxy, and the leg bands were all taken from the MU Cyclops. The only thing is I might have liked the jacket collar to have dipped a little lower, but I had to compromise in order to protect the torso articulation. Hope everyone likes the recipe. Thanks for checking it out!.](userimages/customs/48000/47702-1.jpg) X-Factor Havok 2.0 |
![[Vulture ( Adrian Toomes)] The body is from MU Falcon, the head is from MU Multiple Man, and the lower arms were switched out for something from my fodder bin. I had to sand down the mask on the head. The feathers were sculpted from epoxy sculpt. I've been using a new painting technique to define the highlights and shading. I really like the effect. Let me know what you think.](userimages/customs/48000/47701-1.jpg) Vulture ( Adrian Toomes) | ![[Hope Summers 2.0] The head and body are from MU Kitty Pryde, and the hair is from a Gijoe Baroness, but I don't know which one. The cape and armour were sculpted with two part epoxy. The wraps and metallic armour had to be sculpted in subsequent layers, allowing the wraps to harden first. I sculpted the shape of the cape on a piece of card, and then bent the card to give the cape folds. I also had to mount the head a little higher to clear the cape and give the figure a neck. Hope you like it.](userimages/customs/48000/47661-1.jpg) Hope Summers 2.0 |
![[Black Cat] Here's another Spidey character that's been overlooked by Hasbro for now. The head and body are from MU Psylocke, and the Hair is from ROC Baroness. The rest is epoxy and paint. Hope you like it, I'll have more coming soon!](userimages/customs/48000/47620-1.jpg) Black Cat | ![[Loki] I created this Loki for my own collection because I didn't find the Hasbro one to be very menacing. The body and face are the new MU Punisher. The top of his head was transplanted Frankenstein style from the MU Loki. The rest of the character was created using epoxy sculpt. I much prefer this look to the tights. Thanks for looking.](userimages/customs/47500/47187-1.jpg) Loki |
![[X-Men Messiah Saga Cable] The body is a heavily modified Gears of War Marcus. The head is from a ML Steve Rogers, with a newly sculpted hairdo, and scars carved into the eye region. The shoulder pad is from a 3.75" spider-man Rhino figure, minus spikes. The rest is epoxy and paint, plus the wire protrutding from his torso. I really wanted to create a figure which was reminiscent artist Humberto Ramos' stylized interpretation of the character. I hope everyone likes it. Thanks for checking it out!](userimages/customs/46500/46300-1.jpg) X-Men Messiah Saga Cable | ![[Mortal Kombat Jade] I started with a ML Hope Summers figure, ground down the boots and replaced the head with one from a DC Hawk girl,( the one with removable helmet.). I then sculpted everything from head to toe, except the chains, which I cut from a length of jewelry chain I picked up from a craft store. I was really intimidated when the customer asked for this figure, but overall I'm happy with the result. I hope everyone enjoys it. Thoughts and comments welcome.](userimages/customs/46500/46286-1.jpg) Mortal Kombat Jade |
![[Hawkeye] This is just a simple re-work of MU Hawkeye for my own collection. I hated the harness that he came with. It restricted the figure's movement and made him look too bulky, so I cut it off and replaced it with a sculpted one. After a quick re-paint, the figure's back on my shelf, and looking great.](userimages/customs/46000/45989-1.jpg) Hawkeye | ![[X-Force Domino] I started with a ML Mystique body, and added a Mcfarlane toys Danger Girl head. I took the holsters from various fodder, and the X-Force belt buckle, and guns from a ML Fantom-X. She also has a sniper rifle from the ML Mystique figure. I'd like to see this figure in the ML and MU lines in order to fill some holes in the X-Force ranks.](userimages/customs/46000/45987-1.jpg) X-Force Domino |
![[Spider-Man Noir] I loved this character when I first saw him in the game Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. The custom recipe is all ML Punisher except for the head which is from ML Fantom X with modifications. The holster on his hip is also from the ML Fantom X, and the gun is from my ML Fodder. Pretty simple recipe to gather for a very satisfying result. Hope you like it, thnks for looking!](userimages/customs/46000/45959-1.jpg) Spider-Man Noir | ![[Araña, Anya Sofia Corazon] I've never read this character's comic, but I loved the costume design. I used multiple reference images to get the character's look just right. This is all sculpting on top of a single base figure. It took months of off and on work to complete this figure but I'm pleased with the way it came out. Let me know what you think!](userimages/customs/46000/45750-1.jpg) Araña, Anya Sofia Corazon |
![[Uncanny X Men Rogue] I recently started filling in the ranks of my uncanny xmen cast, and decided to start with this Rogue. She's wearing her uncanny uniform that she wore during the 'Second Coming' story line. The zipper, hair, and skirt were added, using two part epoxy, to the MU Kitty Pryde base figure. The skirt structure was created, first, by using electrical tape, and then by laying the epoxy down on top. In the end she's been a great addition to my X-men roster. Please enjoy. Comments are always welcome.](userimages/customs/46000/45729-1.jpg) Uncanny X Men Rogue | ![[Modern Rogue 2.0] This is actually my 4th Modern Rogue, but the others were all the same so I only posted the first one. This time however, I decided to try it with her hood up. The hood, hair and belt are made from two part epoxy, and the cape is from a vinyl shower curtain. I actually can't remember now which base figure I used, but I guess it doesn't matter anyway. I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks.](userimages/customs/44000/43864-1.jpg) Modern Rogue 2.0 |
![[Captain Marvel Monica Rambeau] This is my second Captain Marvel/Monica Rambeau custom in this scale. This time I used a MU Mystique figure for her white torso, and switched out the legs with those from a MU Black Widow to minimize paint rub. The cape is from a vinyl shower curtain, and the rest of the changes were sculpted from 2 part epoxy. Thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/44000/43790-1.jpg) Captain Marvel Monica Rambeau | ![[Avengers Villain Super-Adaptoid] I made this one out of an MU Captain America. The head was originally from an original MU Bullseye. His shoulders are from an original MU Iron Man. The right lower arm is from a MU Thor. The left lower arm was sculpted to look like the Black Panther's claws. I took the belt from the same MU Thor, and the wings are from a 4.5 disney fairies Tinker Bell. The rest is two part epoxy. I like the concept of the Super-Adaptoid, and I wanted to represent as many Avengers as I could in the design. Hope everyone likes the finished product, and I look forward to reading any comments you'd like to leave.](userimages/customs/44000/43607-1.jpg) Avengers Villain Super-Adaptoid |
![[King T'challa Black Panther] The base is the new MU Punisher, with the head, forearms, and lower legs from the original MU Black Panther. I sculpted the decorative gold pieces out of 2-part epoxy. Now we have a Black Panther that can finally move like the Black panther! Comments are appreciated!](userimages/customs/44000/43581-1.jpg) King T'challa Black Panther | ![[Steve Mcniven/Civil War Style Captain America] I've always loved the way Steve Mcniven represented Captain America in the Civil War series. I feel he captured the quint-essential look of the character, and I wanted to have a figure in the MU scale that had a similar style. The best part of the Steve Mcniven CA, in my opinion, was the way the scales were draped over his shoulders rather than fastened to his tunic. I had to try to capture that look without hindering the shoulder joints. The forearms are from the original MU Captain America, but I added a little bulk with epoxy. The head is from a CAFA figure, and the rest is MU Steve Rogers with significant epoxy sculpt. It took a lot of trial and error to fix all the paint rub issues, but it finally cam together. Comments and suggestions are welcome!](userimages/customs/44000/43580-1.jpg) Steve Mcniven/Civil War Style Captain America |
![[Elizabeth Ross Red She-Hulk] In this case I didn't want to just repaint the She-Hulk figure; I figured a lot of other great customizers would be doing just that, so I did a little bit of sculpting on the gloves, boots, and collar. Then I repainted the figure and voila! I have to admit, I was not aware of this character until a client requested her, but it makes a cool custom for the She-Hulk base. Thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/44000/43577-1.jpg) Elizabeth Ross Red She-Hulk | ![[Super Skrull] Hey everyone! Here's a figure I just finished. The deadly 'Super Skrull'. At first I was going to use the MU Skrull body, but I wanted my Super Skrull to look more intimidating, so I used an MU Gladiator body. The stretched forearm is sculpted onto the MU skrull glove, and the other arm is obviously from MU Thing; I had to dremel the arm socket quite a bit to get it to fit and move. A Skrull head and a paint job later, and we have one formidable looking Super Skrull ready for a brawl.
Comments are always welcome.](userimages/customs/44000/43528-1.jpg) Super Skrull |
![[Uncanny X Men Cyclops 3.0] I made this one out of one of my older figures from the MU greatest battles cyclops/phoenix comic pack. I've used this recipe before, but I had all the parts for another one, so I put it together again. I think the paint job came out better this time though. The lower arms and legs are from a MU Ronin figure. The Visor and badge are sculpted on with putty. Thanks for having a look. Hope you like it.](userimages/customs/43500/43280-1.jpg) Uncanny X Men Cyclops 3.0 | ![[Classic Invisible Woman / Sue Storm Fantastic Four] I took a MU Mystique body, and matched the the blue colour on the figure to paint the torso. That way legs and arms have zero paint rub potential. The head I took from an MU Invisible woman and retouched the face. I cut her force field from a blister pack, attached it to the wrist bracket from MU Havok's energy blast. Pretty simple custom, but classic Sue Storm. Thanks for looking.](userimages/customs/43500/43279-1.jpg) Classic Invisible Woman / Sue Storm Fantastic Four |
![[90s Cable] This custom took a lot of sculpting. The base of this figure is entirely from the MU Cable. The shoulder pads are from two different MU Cables, and the rest is a mix of fodder and epoxy. This is my favourite look for Cable. Let me know what you think. Thanks.](userimages/customs/43500/43157-1.jpg) 90s Cable | ![[Red Hood] I love this character ever since I saw the animated movie. For this custom I started with the MU Dare Devil, and sculpted body armour onto his chest and stomach. I then sculpted sleeves onto the arms; trimmed down the head and sculpted the mask. Boots and pants are also sculpted. The belt and gun harness are from the MU Dare Devil, but the holster is from my fodder. The jacket is from a XMO Wolverine in street clothes. The paint job was fun, but I found it hard to pin down just one look for this character. It seems different artists interpret the colour scheme quite differently, so I just borrowed what I felt looked good from the different source. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/43000/42891-1.jpg) Red Hood |
![[Banshee] In order to avoid paint rub I used a green MU Iron Fist body. The collar is epoxy sculpt, and the head is from a SW Anikin figure. The cape was the hard part. I cut the fabric, and ran the hot glue gun along the edge to avoid fraying. Banshee's cape is mounted along his costume from just above his knee, all the way to his wrist. Luckily my first plan worked, and I used the hot glue gun to adhere fabric tabs, I had added to my cape pattern, to the figure. Although the lines on the cape aren't as clean as they could have been on foam, the cape moves brilliantly, and this figure is actually a lot of fun to pose. Feedback on the design would be greatly appreciated.](userimages/customs/43000/42890-1.jpg) Banshee | ![[Hope Summers] I modeled this custom after the ML Hope Summers. I sculpted the armor from 2 part epoxy. The head is from a MU Sue Richards, and the cape is actually from the ML Hope figure. I just trimmed it down to fit the smaller frame. I'm surprised she hasn't been issued yet in this scale, especially since she was in the debut wave of the new ML line. Comments always welcome and appreciated.](userimages/customs/43000/42889-1.jpg) Hope Summers |
![[WW2 Wolverine 'Corporal Logan'] I always like the idea of Wolverine and Captain America both fighting in the second world war. I was watching 'Avengers: EMH' recently, and there was a flash back episode which showed Logan as part of Cap's allied special ops team. I've seen Logan in WW2 scenes in other media as well, but I don't think I've ever seen this kind of action figure before; so I thought it would be fun to make one. I took a MU WW2 Cap body, and a MU Jim Lee Wolverine head. I shaved down the head to fit in the helmet,( sadly the helmet does not come off, but He would look silly with a round head anyway.) and mounted it on the body. I added hands from a XMO Wolverine; cut off the claws, and replaced them with trimmed down sewing pins. I textured the pins and painted them like bone claws, ( pre-adamantium of course.). The web gear is from a Snake Eyes, and the cigar is another piece of a pin. I repainted the body and added military insignia: Canadian Flag, Corporal Bars, etc. Now Wolverine is ready to storm th](userimages/customs/43000/42617-1.jpg) WW2 Wolverine 'Corporal Logan' | ![[Wolverine Old Man Logan] I have to thank Hasbro for this recipe, although I did upgrade it a bit. When I first saw Hasbro's Old Man Logan figure I though that a fellow customizer was pulling a prank. This figure consists of a XMO Logan Leather jacket figure, with a trench coat and head taken from XMO movie Saber Tooth. Then a repaint. No new sculpt here. To this recipe I added some of the metallic features on the sleeves of the trench coat. I also aged the face a lot more. If Clint Eastwood and Bruce Willis had a baby, when he grew up, he might look tough enough to play Old Man Logan. This guy needs to look hard as nails! Anyway, cool figure, nice recipe from the people at Hasbro. Comments welcome!](userimages/customs/43000/42549-1.jpg) Wolverine Old Man Logan |
![[Snow Bird Alpha Flight] This a MU Enchantress Head on a MU FF Invisible Woman. The cape is cut out of some foam.
The MU Enchantress already has the perfect head gear for this figure, and the white body means minimal paintrub, although I find the plastic colour is actually quite grey when next to white. None the less the client was very pleased with the finished figure. Comments welcome.](userimages/customs/42500/42366-1.jpg) Snow Bird Alpha Flight | ![[Dr.Strange] The recipe is as follows; head - MU Dr.Strange, Body - MU 2 pack Bullseye, Lower Legs - MU 2 pack DareDevil. The collar is from a dc infinite Sinestro, and the 'skirt thingy' is cut out of foam. The cuffs and belt buckle are 2 part epoxy, and the belt is from MU Psylocke. I like the new look. I hadn't seen it before the client ordered it. Makes a cool looking figure. Thanks for looking.](userimages/customs/42500/42365-1.jpg) Dr.Strange |
