![[Cyclops] I had seen the TNA Sonjay Dutt used by Discogod to make a Daredevil, and bought one to copy his recipe, but ended up making something completely different. But I still had the body and I thought it'd work great for my Cyke. Right build - tall but lanky.
It's Sonjay Dutt + ML10 Cyclops head, hands and feet, which are kinda big and clunky and remind me of the old silver age art. All modified to take the stitching details off them.
Then you sculpt on the vest, a bit of cloth folds on his arms, the belt and buckle and some areas you need smooth on the feet. Plus rebuild the visor.
(grey stuff is Milliput, blue stuff is Apoxie Sculpt) Buckle includes a button and belt is some styrene strips.
Paint and go. That first picture has the flash on it so you can se the blue highlights I put in his costume.
I always liked this design and I'm happy with how it turned out. Fits in well. Mostly. But its ankles are designed so badly that it's almost impossible to stand. So I had to fix it.
I knew the kind of ankles I wanted, and I found them in a little Kree-o Optimus Prime toy.
They're the Lego-like ankles actually, once you grind away all the excess with a handy Dremel. I made some holes in the feet and shins to place the new parts.
See that on the right in the 2nd pic that I ended up with (after some fixup and paint)? How easy is that to make? Seriously, I'm so glad Hasbro has made a new ankle design that is getting used, but it was such a shame that this otherwise pretty nice toy is just ruined with those ankles.
The last pic is a test of the range of motion before I fixed it up. Only the first pic is the finished piece after I repainted the shoulder pads and replaced the hands, which were too gimpy and small, with the much better Heros Reborn Iron Man ML's hands, and also repainted.

![[The Thing] GrownNerd's recipe. I've never straight-up copied someone else's work but that Thing is perfect, and I wanted one.
Shortening the legs was way harder than I thought it would be. I wanted to do what GrownNerd did and take those biker shorts off him and give him the short 60s briefs he should have, but it was hard to get the peg in the hip to go down into the thigh. I even had to remove some of the knee joint's insides to fit it all, but it does looks way cool like that and not taller than I think he should be. Took some of the plastic out from under the neck to improve range of motion in the head too.
Took the sculpted "4" off the front and kept it, so it can be attached like you see it in the last group photo, then resculpted the front of the pants and belt. It just sticks on with a little removable booger glue dot like you see on direct mail.
Really enjoy the improved articulation and still having the ML2 head that I love. Otherwise mostly a fun exercise in drybrushing. So what i ended up doing is making a new medium-build superarticulated bodytype. Daredevil doesn't have much of a costume to speak of, and the bodytype, head and hands will need to do the talking.
What I came up with is the DCSH series 1 Batman torso and shoulders, 1stX-men classic series Tiger Stripe Wolverine's arms, HML Red Daredevil's legs w/ billy club pouch, Bullseye boots and hands with DCD Hush Batman's hands as alternates. Making interchangeable parts is a pain to getright, but love having them. And there are plenty of alternate heads too. My fave you're seeing in these pics is actually taken from my old custom, because I just love it so much. ![[Morrigan] To me, this character is about as indispensable as Captain America.
Sure, I wasn't a huge childhood fan or anything, but recognize how central and huge a part they take in their worlds.
I need to have a Cap on my shelf because he's a big-deal classic character that I really like, and Morrigan is the same.
I guess ever since I really gave up on SOTA ever making the Morrigan whose prototype they showed SDCC 05 (iirc), I've been thinking about this one. Here's what I came up with:
Body (modified w/ rebuilt butt): DCUC PowerGirl
Arms: TBML Psylocke
Legs, knees down: TBML SpiderWoman (shins shortened)
Head: DCUC Raven
Hands: TBML Psylocke, DCDirect Dr. Fate I with wrists from TBML SpiderWoman, left Snap-On Armor IM movie I, right DCDirect KC Jade
Hair: Figma 036, Tsuruya-san culture festival maid
Wings, ruffles, bangs(heavily modified): Vampire Savior action hero real series 02 Morrigan

Lower torso (modified), Legs (modified), multiple revolver joints: Revoltech Yoko
Head: Various, but mostly the DCDirect Armory Supergirl.
How to improve the recent 2-pack Black Widow: New hips legs and hands. Yoko has a huge belt that needed to go, and big cowboy boots that also had to be ground down and removed. Then I built her calves back on. The torso from Yoko had to be built up to fit onto the upper torso of the new Widow. The forearms of the Yoko were attached to the BW arms so she can have those 9 interchangeable hands.
I still think the Black Widow Hasbro recently made is a good toy, and I had the idea of mixing Yoko's torso into it but I may not have done it anytime soon if the one I found in black after looking for so long wasn't broken. But there are aspects of the Elektra body that it uses that I just don't like. The arms and legs feel gangly and unshapely, and the legs don't come together and it has that big gap in the cr](userimages/customs/29500/29388-1.jpg) Black Widow Marvel Legendsby StrangePlanetUpper Torso, arms, feet: 2-Pack ML Black Widow

The elektra body that the new 2-pack black widow has some gangly, unshapely legs, and ugly hands and a thick torso, so I took the belt and cowboy boots off of a revoltech yoko to solve that problem, and used a cast of a dc direct supergirl armory head to replace the long-haired head which I also didn't care for.
