![[Jean Grey Jim Lee 90's (Ver.2)] I decided to add to/ fix my Jean up a bit with some modifications. To see the original custom and recipe just go to the one before this. I added more to her hair. I sculpted some more up top to give it a more fuller and retro look, closer to the comics. Also, I decided to paint the blue part of her costume a lighter blue, using my own blend of white and blue testors paint, to also better fit the comics. I also adjusted her nose job and did a slight adjustment on her breast implants :P. Again, to get the full recipe, just go to the original custom. So when I say I have it this time, hopefully I mean it haha. But this was the most I've ever put into a custom. So let's start. First I sculpted the mask around her face and hairline, then took off the hair that came on phoenix and completely sculpted her a new head of hair, which I am very proud of. I then sculpted her a new bustier, rounder pair of breasts, because let's be honest, in the Jim Lee comics, all of the women have great and curvy bodies. I then sculpted the shoulder pads which was so challenging because I had to make sure I didn't limit arm articulation too much. Then I sculpted the wrist gauntlets/bands whatever. So as you can see, I did ALOT of sculpting, which took a long time but it was fun because it was my first time sculpting for a custom and I didn't feel limited to what I could do. Next was simple, painting on her blue and y](userimages/customs/40500/40022-1.jpg) Jean Grey Jim Lee 90's Marvel Legendsby gookatanaIt's funny because this must be the 5th Jim Lee custom I've done and I always say that I have it but then I realize I'm not quite satisfied. ![[DC Wonder Woman] I really think I've captured WW's amazon build and strength yet her curvy seductiveness very well with this custom. The base was a scratched up ML Elektra I had laying around with the missing head. So I got the body, completely re-painted the figure a flesh tone, and for the head I used a Mattel WWE Beth Phoenix action figure head and painted that with the matching tones on the body. The rest was simple. The boots, the trunks, and wrist bands were all basic painting. i used a gold paint for the golden trimming around her suit. The trunks were NO walk in the park. First I had to paint them blue, let that dry, then get a tiny brush and draw the stars which was EXTREMELY tedious and challenging. Then after that, to capture the stars more I put some blue and silver glitter over them and superglued over the entire trunks so the glitter would stay there for sure. The hair is from WWE Ruthless Agression Vickie Guerrero. The regular cream color I have would not fit Starfire's deep tan/reddish/orange skin. So I had to do mix some of my yellow paint with red paint to create her skin tone. For the suit I used a dark purple. I also applied some purple and green glitter to her suit to give it a nice sheen and then superglued over the entire thing to ensure that the glitter would stay (don't worry, I didn't glue over any of the joints, so she still has full articulation). The eyes were simple. two dots of green and some eyeliner. The hair was used from a previous Jean grey custom that I wound up hating. The hair is originally from a DC Universe "The Creeper" figure. ![[Jean Grey Jim Lee V.5 (Modified)] Ok so FR won't let me delete customs so I'll just have to keep posting as I move along. If you go on my customs page, you'll see the previous version of this custom. I made some adjustments. I gave her more of a nose, before, there wasn't much there. Now she has a better-sculpted nose. Also, I struggled a lot with the eyes on this custom which is very rare for me. So I tried fixing the eyes a little bit and I think they look much better now. The rest you know..... Painting over storms deep brown face with a cream-ish color was much harder than I expected. All the rest was cake, I mixed a yellow and a spot of red to create the orange-yellow tint of her suit. Then I used a plain blue for the rest of the suit, with a darker blue to outline it. The hair, I used a bright red. Please comment! Thanks for viewing. ![[Jean Grey Jim Lee (FINAL Modifications)] Hahaha Im sooooo sorry guys, Figure Realm wont let me delete submissions so I just have to keep posting as I move along. I realized how detailed the figure was itself and then how plain and basic the hair was. So I changed the hair, using hair from ML sassquatch. I also re-did the nose a bit. Everything else you know. The base was a ML psylocke. I completely painted over the body with a fleshy-toned base paint. I used blue and yellow paint for the actual attire, BUT one thing i changed, the dullness of the yellow gradually began to bother me, so this time, i got a bright yellow and a scarlet red and mixed the colors together to match the more accurate orange tint to jeans costume, I also painted the blue a different shade. The shoulder pads were superglued on, i cut them from hard plastic scraps I have laying around, but this time, I placed them right on the ball joints of the arms so the arms can move more freely. ![[Ultimate X-Men: Storm (Ororo Munroe)] Ok so if you'll look at my customs gallery, you'd see the most recent jean i did, her casual look. Although I really really really enjoyed the way she turned out, It hit me that I didnt make an Ultimate Storm custom, which in my opinion, is the best look storm ever had (before she went goth and cut her hair). So i re-did the entire custom from Jean to Storm, and I'm happy I did, very happy. I used the ML wasp body. painted arms a deep brown flesh colored tone, same thing for the abdominal area and upper waist. i then used black and yellow for her costume. As mentioned before under the Jean custom, I wasnt satisfied with the dorky look on Wasp's face so i took Poison Ivy's head off of her body (Hush Series) and super glued it on top of the Wasp body. I then painted the face the same color as the arms and stomach. And of course, probably storm's most noticeable asset, I painted her huge head of hair, a blinding white. please post any comments or questions =)](userimages/customs/30500/30195-1.jpg) Ultimate X-Men: Storm (Ororo Munroe) Marvel Legendsby gookatanaOk so if you'll look at my customs gallery, you'd see the most recent jean i did, her casual look. ![[Jean Grey Jim Lee Style] I had SO much fun making this. I know the last Jean Grey custom we need is a Jim Lee one, but it was really for myself. I love this attire. Jean's Jim lee attire and her Ultimate X-men attire are my 2 favorites! Right, so now to the recipe, the base was a ML psylocke. I completely painted over the body with a fleshy-toned base paint. I used blue and yellow paint for the actual attire. The shoulder pads were superglued on, i cut them from hard plastic scraps I have laying around. I used green paint for the stripe down the middle. I made the hair our of bendy, hard-plastic scraps. I took wasp's original head off and replaced it with X3 Jean Grey's face. ![[Ultimate X-Men- Jean Grey] The recipe was fairly simple. I used alot of superglue in replacement of clay since I do not have enough time on my hands for sculpting. So I guess you could say I took the easy way out =3 lol. Regardless, I did have lots of fun making this. First I took of phoenix's big red hair and replaced it with HE-MAN's hair from Masters of the Universe and painted it red. the rest was cake. I just used black paint for the latex costumes that the ultimate x-men sport in the comics. I painted her arms with a flesh colored paint. The neck piece was superglued on. I used a piece of hard plastic from my scraps and painted it gray, then superglued the little cubed 'x' on top. I gave her a little more eyeliner aswell, fitting her more edgy look from the ultimate x-men series.
