It has Bruce Wayne as a detective in the Gotham Police after his family was ruined by the Great Depression. Wayne Manor has been taken over by the rebellious, and a little demented, Barbara Gordon, daughter of police Commissioner James Gordon. Her live-in boyfriend is Richart Graustark, who goes under the name of "Richard Grayson", presumably to cover his German origins (World War II being still fresh in people's minds at the time). Barbara and Graustark fight crime as Batgirl and Robin, though, in true 1960s anti-establishment style, their main targets are corrupt cops, in particular those led by the Two-Face-like Detective Duell and the Joker-like but very feminine Bianca Steeplechase.

![[Black Vulcan 2.0] Black Vulcan is a fictional superhero on the animated series Super Friends created by Hanna-Barbera. He was voiced by Buster Jones.
Unlike most of the Super Friends, Black Vulcan was not a pre-existing DC Comics character. This is particularly notable since DC Comics' roster did include an African American superhero with electricity-based powers, Black Lightning, who could not be used on the show due to disputes between DC and Black Lightning's creator Tony Isabella. He expected some royalties from the use of his character, go figure.
As originally depicted, Black Vulcan's costume had the super-hero equivalent of pants, but in later episodes his legs are bare. So I restored the pants as it bugged me when standing him next to my increasingly modern looking Justice League, only to find that the character looked way too similar looking to a Yellow Lantern. In keeping with the previous teases, it seems like the Earth 2 version of the character will be darker, angrier and perhaps more likely to employ lethal force.
Robinson had this to say of this version of Superman at The Source:
Mourning the death of his beloved, Superman carries both a sadness in his heart along with the weight of Earth 2's welfare upon on his shoulders, while never showing this and seeming to all that he is the world's peerless champion.
After reading Earth 2 today, I renamed the figure because the liberties I took with his design are far more removed from the Earth 2 Art than I initially thought they would be.
