![[Project: LALAM] Here's the OC I've been working on for a while. I DID NOT sculpt:
Gun (aside from the handle)
Joints + sockets
GI: Joe Straps (ankles and holster connection)
Everything else was sculpted using super sculpey/fixit sculpt. The figure is ridiculously small, standing about a 2 heads taller than your average GI:Joe/SW figure, and contains:
Triple ball jointed neck (two balls connecting to neck piece slide up and down, allowing for height adjustment), double jointed torso, and ball jointed inner shoulder joints (all of these are the less obvious points of articulation, not all of them). Holster and shield made out of styrene sheets.
Vague recipe:
All of the sockets are poly pieces from gundams/kotobukiya kits. The shoulders (not the inner ball joint) are ankles from a halo ODST figure, the ankles are ball joints from some older gundam, with polycaps from an old kotobukiya kit. The torso double ball joint is from the ODST's neck, the sockets from gundams. The shoulders are Reach wrists, th](userimages/customs/44000/43746-1.jpg) Project: LALAM Originalby LalamHere's the OC I've been working on for a while. I DID NOT sculpt:

I removed the shoulderpads completely, and attached them through some of the stretchy GI-Joe strap fabric, so they could move as they would in the CGI cutscenes. I replaced the wrists with a tiny peg so they weren't as stupidly long, allot the neck to bend down and forward more, and cut down the visor (behind the piece) so it could sit better on the helmet. I also painted in some of the areas which were darker on the CG model, and drybrushed a tad.](userimages/customs/42000/41932-1.jpg) Spartan Mk. ![[Young Link V2] A complete revision of my original Young Link figure. The intent was to make it look more like link, and completely change the articulation/overall "rough" appearance.
EDIT: the "accessories" photo shows link with some basic fixes made months ago. The pink around his eyes was removed; the entire figure was washed down with a thick matte coat, and many general paint fixes were implemented.
An entire description of the joints and how they were used:
Ball pieces: Kotobukiya standard ball jointed kits
-Metabee Kit (1)
-Armored Core Kit (2)
Sockets:
-DBZ Model Kit (1)
-Gundam Model Kit (2)
Shoulders: Socket (2) glued inside center chest area; ball piece (1)(small) connected to Hobby Base Ball Shape 8mm sized joint. Edge of opposite peg trimmed to fit appropriate into upper arm, allowing for bicep swivel.
Elbow: Revoltech (NEW version) 6mm joint; peg going towards upper arm cut completely off, piece glued into upper arm; opposite peg trimmed to fit appropriately in](userimages/customs/31500/31165-1.jpg) Young Link V2 | ![[Halo: Reach Master Chief] Using the red Hazop figure from mcfarlane, I editted the ball joint on an old Halo 3 Spartan mark V's neck to work properly with the reach figures, and simply stuck on the mjolnir armour pads.

![[ODST - Simple Rework] I was relatively satisfied with my Halo: Reach ODST, until I actually looked at a direct screenshot of one of the ODSTs ingame. I decided that I might as will try to make it look like it should, and this is how it turned out. The shoulder pads came from The Rookie, and the gauntlets came from a Reach Spartan. After doing all of the basic work, I hair-dried his neck brace, then stretched it down to the chest/back as well as I could, gluing it while it was still pliable.](userimages/customs/31000/30710-1.jpg) ODST - Simple Rework Haloby LalamI was relatively satisfied with my Halo: Reach ODST, until I actually looked at a direct screenshot of one of the ODSTs ingame. ![[ARC Trooper] Using the ARF Trooper figure as a base, I compiled the upper neck-brace from a red Clone Commander figure, cutting off the left shoulder pad, and replacing it with the pad used on one of the original release ARC trooper blue figures. The skirt/torso cape came from the same red Clone Commander the neck brace came from. Then, I switched out the arms and lower legs from a live-action based trooper. And, finally, I used the alternate helmet from the clonewars Obi-Wan figure for the helmet.
For added articulation, I made the wrists ball joints.
The strap on his rifle was replaced using a GI: JOE general purpose strap piece.
The figure was painted using Model Master Acrylics.](userimages/customs/31000/30690-1.jpg) ARC Trooper Star Warsby LalamUsing the ARF Trooper figure as a base, I compiled the upper neck-brace from a red Clone Commander figure, cutting off the left shoulder pad, and repl...7 comments | ![[Young Link Figure] This was made using Super Sculpey, Hobby Base joints, and a kitbashed skirt piece from a Play Arts figure. -Kokiri Sword
