![[The Incredible Zombie Hulk #1] since Arthur Suydam (the guy who drew the marvel zombies covers) came to a comic fair in Santiago on the last weekend, i decided to make a diorama for the custom zombie hulk i made last year, i love Suydam's work so i thought it would be cool to make this and get it signed, but i just had 2 weeks! so i made everything in a rush and i was really worried because it was my first time to try making a whole figure from epoxy without a base.
so, the diorama is a mix between Suydam's cover for the 4th printing of the first marvel zombies and Jack Kirby's work on the first number of the incredible hulk, i made banner and the background of the dio trying to get the look of Suydam's cover while using the letters and bubbles from the sides from Kirby's cover.
the whole thing is made with wood as i usually do and the stuff that is "on the air" is supported with thick wires, i printed two parts of Suydam's cover, the soldiers from the left side and general Ross with Betty from the ri](userimages/customs/49500/49186-1.jpg) The Incredible Zombie Hulk #1 Marvel Legendsby Mr.?since Arthur Suydam (the guy who drew the marvel zombies covers) came to a comic fair in Santiago on the last weekend, i decided to make a diorama for...14 comments | ![[Psycho Mantis (Repaint & Repair)] (i had this creepy guy made a long time ago, the only reason why i didn't upload him was that i had not made the base yet c: )
i saw mantis on sale for a good price (a price that could be considered "cheap" only here) even though he wasn't on the best condition, he had both wrists articulations broken (so both were glued)the straps from the front and the back broken and the mask missing, i didn't know that there were clear variants of some MGS figures by Mcfarlane so when i got him the next question came to my mind:
do i paint him completely? (that was the only way to make an epoxy mask without him looking bad)
or do i leave him like that?
the problem was that he looked really cool being "clear" but on the other hand without his mask the head sculpt looks really bad because the straps from the mask are sculpted on his head!
so in a metal gear induced hallucination, i realized that the best option was to paint half of him, to make him look like he was vanishing](userimages/customs/45500/45359-1.jpg) Psycho Mantis (Repaint & Repair) Metal Gear Solidby Mr.?(i had this creepy guy made a long time ago, the only reason why i didn't upload him was that i had not made the base yet c: )

![[Gray Zombie Hulk] just in time! fellow realm user Satanaz (who is a Chilean compatriot) is running a contest about making Marvel or DC zombies for Halloween, there's even prizes! I'm really happy about the initiative because i think is one of the best ways to start making this hobby more popular here in Chile, so I'm participating too!
i had this hulk lying around for ages (since he was released probably) and never really liked him so much, mostly because of those green zones on the skin and partly for the head sculpt, but when i was deciding which zombie i would make i saw one of the covers for the marvel zombies reprints and thought this would be the perfect choice.
i would like to point out that even when he has some blood my intention here was to make him look rotten and not very fresh, since usually zombie customs are just figures with red blood all over the place and i wanted to make something more complex.
so, what i did here was:

The other two figures? leatherface and Freddy Krueger, all of the three where McFarlane figures, and because of that is that i was always (and still) looking for them when i buy any figure.
So i got my hands on leatherface, and even when i prefer other figures that i think have a better representation of the character (i'm looking at you mezco) i like this one mainly because of what i wrote above, sadly, the one i got wasn't the bloody version, which w](userimages/customs/43500/43302-1.jpg) Leatherface (Restoration and Repaint) Movie Maniacsby Mr.?one of the reasons why i love horror movies and figures is because when i was a kid (around 6 years old maybe) i used to play with 3 figures from an o...3 comments |
![[Max Payne ("Police Max")] i love Max Payne series since the first game, and since i love almost every game made from rockstar i was sure that their work on the game and character would be as good as the other two titles (by remedy) i don't know why but i really liked the "police max" (that's the name of the suit in game!) suit, probably because i think that it's a mix between formal and informal since he has a clean suit but blood splattered all over because of the injury on his head and i love the police station chapter.
OK I've seen that many realmers write the recipe like this and i think it's comfy while reading, so here it goes:
Head - the original Hartigan head, got his hair and mouth dremeled, made his mouth, beard and the big injury on the left side with epoxy the other two small injuries where made with heat.
Body - Hartigan's body minus trench coat with sculpted gun holsters and gun holders made from leather

i bought a revolver ocelot figure (series 1 McFarlane) and i knew before hand that i just couldn't stand the face sculpt (probably because of the looks of ocelot in twin snakes) so i thought i could make another head for him trying to get the look from the twin snakes game, since i don't have too much experience in sculpting i thought that it was a little hard for me to do it, and then came the idea: use the figure as a base for the big boss.
is easily one of my favorite characters from all the metal gear/solid universe (probably because of all the prequels) and i have never seen a figure of him as and old man, so i based all of my work on the artwork for the 1998 game, Metal Gear Solid.
Ok so what i did with him was taking out ocelot's long hair, mustache, belt, the neck of his shirt, the tie, and the belt with bullets that goes on his chest, all of this with my dremel, then sculpted: the back of his hair, the beard, the eye patch](userimages/customs/41500/41140-1.jpg) The BIG BOSS Metal Gear Solidby Mr.?and here it is, the legendary soldier: The big boss

![[The Punisher (Lewis Larosa Style)] one of my favorite series ever is the punisher from Marvel MAX which was released in 2004, even though i love the series from number 1 to 10 i still think the first story "In The Beginning" is the best of them, i love larosa's work on the character, so i wanted to make a figure that resembles that punisher.
the base for this is a Duke Nukem NECA figure, i had to take out the pouches from his belt and the harness thing that the figure had, then filled all the holes that those pieces left, and added the hands which where from a he-man figure. Then i made the head, this was the first time that i made a head from zero, it's completely made from epoxy and i only used the peg from the original figure I'm really happy about how it turned out, but I'm thinking that probably in the future i would like to give this another try and make another head for this figure.

ok so i had a marvel legends pack of the fantastic four and since i didn't really liked the Mr.fantastic in there i decided to make a joker with him, i sculpted the hair, forehead, nose, cheekbones, lips, chin, bracelet and pants. dremeled down a lot of the muscle in the chest to make him more skinny and added a chain in the bracelet.
then he stayed like that for a couple of years and then i painted him.

![[Freddy's Boiler Room] this took a lot of time, i wanted to finish this on Halloween but i never finish my customs on time, so this contest was the perfect push for me to finish my work.
ok, so i wanted a boiler room for my Freddy, it's a NECA figure so the diorama is kinda huge. I started only with the wood, i cut the wood with a dremel to give it that "broken" look and during the initial part of the work i thought it was a good idea to ad some pipes, they are PVC pipes (the blue ones for water) that i painted trying to get a Rust look, to floor was painted with many coats of grey (acrylic paint) and the outside walls are painted with red/green stripes, anyone who has seen one of these movies knows that usually in the dreams of the victims this is a common pattern so i wanted that in my custom, i also added the "logo" of the movie on the left wall.

ok, so i did small changes here but they are significant, i took off his hair and put epoxy on the holes where the hair was attached then i painted those parts trying to match the color of his skin (which was difficult but i think i achieved it) repainted the eyes, which where originally blue but i painted white, i think he look scarier that way (and closer to the appearance on the film) then add](userimages/customs/36500/36464-1.jpg) Dr. Satan Horrorby Mr.?another doctor, i was more than happy when i found doctor satan (from house of 1000 corpses by rob zombie) because i wasn't even looking for him, it w...4 comments |
![[Metal Blades for Freddy's Glove] A simple custom on my new figure, i think it came out really good, that's why i wanted to share it here on the realm, if someone wants to try.
i used (the now classics) bobby pins, i took the paint off from the pins and used the dremel to get the shape i wanted, i made like 8 or more blades before i got the shape i expected, then i cut the original blades and after that i put a razor on fire to make it hot and then put it in the fingers, but just in half of each finger (above the marks from the original blades) then i used an epoxy glue to stick the pins on the fingers after that is used a mate acrylic sealer on the hand (this will make the glue look less shiny) and a gloss sealer on the blades to protect them from rust.
For the ones interested in the figure i can say that i always wanted a freddy, and i was always looking for one of the many figures McFarlane has released, but in my country they were really hard to find or too expensive but now the waiting is over! for everyone out](userimages/customs/33000/32822-1.jpg) Metal Blades for Freddy's Glove Nightmare on Elm Streetby Mr.?A simple custom on my new figure, i think it came out really good, that's why i wanted to share it here on the realm, if someone wants to try.

the original skin color was very dark, and i didn't like it cause i always saw the pictures of the figure (obviously the pictures in McFarlane site)and the skin color on them was pale, also there where some differences on the detail of the painting job, so i aimed to get those original details on my figure.
first of all, even before deciding i would paint the figure, i changed the hooks from is face using pins instead. the hooks that came with the figure where too big and didn't fit in the holes also they didn't looked so real.

at first i wanted to make just a kitchen, but then i decided to make it similar to the one in the movie, i made everything in it except the sink that came from an old wrestling figure who also grant his head and arm for the diorama, the "children" hand was from a 3 inch figure and the pails are made of epoxy putty, the intestine was also made with epoxy putty, the chainsaw and hammer came with leatherface.
the blood and the inside wall (the blue one) where painted with acrylic paints, the interiors and the outside wall where painted with a paint for wood, white color. i masked the walls with masking tape to get the look of wall paper (don't know if that's well written) and made a window with real glass from a welding mask i was using at the time.
