![[John Corbin - Metallo] Phew...almost didn't get this guy finished in time. In fact I thought the contest wasn't over until tomorrow so technically I didn't finish him as I intend to add more green highlights and spruce up his paint a little bit. The pictures (since I had to take them inside what with it being 9 o'clock at night and there being no sun) really doesn't show off what paint details are here at all. Around the Kryptonite in his chest there's a bit of a green glow and the same effect is being carried over into several key areas. Basically I just purchased a Mecha Hulk that was broken so I glue the back piece on and made myself a metal monstrosity known as Metallo. Watch out Supes this guy's huge in comparison! He's mean, green, and ready to kick some boy scout butt! Show him some love guys! The only sculpting I did was to give his shirt some depth and fix the bottom of his jeans. I'm really happy with the way he turned out and I think he looks tons better than the original. ![[The Most Hated Cassie Hack] For Cassie Hack from the awesome Hack/Slash series I, unlike everyone else , used Ms. Marvel. Aside from adding the collar, altering the skirt, and changing out the hands for Buffy Deluxe hands (perfect fit) she was pretty much just a repaint. And the bat came from the doll accessories at Hobby Lobby Comments welcome!](userimages/customs/46500/46365-1.jpg) The Most Hated Cassie Hack | ![[Grendel - Hunter Rose] It's master criminal Grendel a.k.a. Hunter Rose! This was actually a really easy and really satisfying custom to do. His main body and head is the ROML Big Time Spiderman with forearms and lower legs of Quiksilver. The articulation of this figure is amazing with absolutely no paint rub possible except on the neck joint which so far hasn't been a problem. Obviously I pretty much just painted the base black. I also put a little scuplt around his shirt collar to give that good depth and sculpted the upper and lower portions of his eyes. The bandana is from Psylocke's sash. His staff was the hardest part because I couldn't find a good base for it until I was cleaning out my closet and my wonderful girlfriend pointed out a flag from a Mcfarlane figure. A little sanding, some paint, and two large bobby pins later I was all set. I really love how this simple custom turned out. Let me know what you think! I love me some comments!
P.S. His staff blades are longer than they look in the picture.](userimages/customs/46500/46292-1.jpg) Grendel - Hunter Rose |
![[Evil Ernie - Ernest Fairchild] Meet Evil Ernest Fairchild the super-murderer and his only friend Smiley the psychotic button. His goal? Megadeath - I.E. the death of every person on the planet. Why? For love. Evil Ernie is an awesome character from Chaos Comics that has now been picked up by Image. I used Marvel's Zombie as the base here because it really seemed to capture his basic look. I added the legs and boney-forearms of the Ghost Rider movie Caretaker figure with the hands and head of Judge death for that wicked signature smile of his. His hair came from the original Moore Ernie. A little sculpt gave him a nose, his buddy Smiley, and his arcane energy at his stomach. I chose to do the energy like I did b/c I didn't feel he'd be sturdy enough to take him done to just bones and this way he retains full articulation. He was a frustrating blast to make. Lol.
P.S. The entrails came from some Mcfarlane toys.](userimages/customs/46500/46288-1.jpg) Evil Ernie - Ernest Fairchild | ![[Carl Crusher Creel - Absorbing Man] This was a pretty darn easy one. ![[Kit Walker - the Phantom] Here's day 2 of my recent creations. It's The Ghost That Walks! The Phantom was a gift for my girlfriend. She wanted me to make her something so I made one of her favorite characters. I tried to do an updated modern feel while keeping a foot in the classic world. He's mostly a repaint of Fantomex with Winter Soldier's Head. I sculpted the belt buckle, both rings, and the purple part of the mask...er...hood?...whatever. As always let me know what you think!](userimages/customs/44000/43649-1.jpg) Kit Walker - the Phantom | ![[Hellboy - Red - Anung Un Rama] Hello all. I've made a few customs recently that I have been too busy *cough*lazy*cough cough* to take pictures of so I'm about to upload a few. BTW: They've been sitting on the shelf so they have a layer of dust and my camera and lighting kind of sucks so keep that in mind. Ha.
Here's one of the best comics has to offer. Hellboy! His Samaritan, tail, right-hand-of-doom, and belt buckle/pouches came from the Mezco Movie Hellboy. The torso, left arm, and majority of the legs are from some WWE Elite figure with sculpt on the shoulders and bottom of the shorts. The head is X3 Movie Juggernaut completely re-sculpted (my first attempt at a head sculpt). And his shins and feet are ML Quicklsilver.
I wanted something that felt like a mixture of Mignola's art and something realistic and I think I've pretty much achieved my goal. He retains complete articulation except where the tail connects to his lower back, he also has two charms from Mcfarlane figures hanging from his belt which I think l](userimages/customs/44000/43623-1.jpg) Hellboy - Red - Anung Un Rama |

This is my version of The Man Without Fear himself. Daredevil here is made using the new Steve Rogers' body, Buck Cap's head, and the hands and boots from a series 4 Punisher. The billy clubs are from a couple of old missiles repainted. The horns are sculpted and the DD is a mix of sculpt and two bent pieces of wire. I sculpted a lot of extra armor and am really proud with the way it came out for only being my second time sculpting anything. I wanted to enter her into the Shapeshifters contest but was a day late on the final paint apps. Oh well. I also wanted to retain full articulation in her right armor so it's a mix of the Hope upper arm, the wrist joint from a Scarlet Spider, and Witchblade/Psylocke forearm. This is only my third custom but I think it turned out really well and I'm happy to display her. let me know what you think!](userimages/customs/38500/38443-1.jpg) Detective Sara Pezzini - Witchblade |
![[Invincible - Mark Grayson] I used a Captain Marvel body with the head of Gambit and some sculpt. Also instead of sanding down Marvel's forearms I just used Quicksilver's. Paint rub was a major pain for me and my blue isn't exactly the correct color but I still love the way he turned out. I'm proud. Thanks goes out to geki69er as I drew inspiration from his Invincible custom. P.S.
