![[Clawful] So this guy has been a looon time in the works and this contest finally gave me the motivation to get him finished. A lot of sanding and sculpting went into this one and a whole lot of sculpting too. Most of the articulation comes from a Thorbuster Ironman and has been sculpted over and to blend in. I'll give a full breakdown of how each joint was achieved below. He's gone from 0 to 31 P.O.A in about 6 months, yeah, I started him that long ago and that's probably being generous.
So I figure everyone has different views on what a P.O.A is (personally I see it as any direction a part can move) so i'll list the 31 and see if y'all agree
1.Head - Up and down - Thorbuster IM neck dremmeled off then sculpted over to blend.
2.Head - spins round
3 and 4. Shoulders - spin round - ML Maestro (idea stolen from Argenta)Sanded down, sculpt to blend
5 and 6. Shoulders -up and down
7 and 8. Upper arms - swivel round - sanded down the Maestro arms to a cuff that fit over the peg and dremelle](userimages/customs/38000/37944-1.jpg) Clawful Masters of the Universeby DarththomasSo this guy has been a looon time in the works and this contest finally gave me the motivation to get him finished. ![[D&DCUSTOMS HEAVENLY SWORD NARIKO PS3 6inch 1:1] Took a Nariko figure which suffers from poor articulation for my taste. I dremel chopped her in half and removed her hair and partial clothes and also cut the arms and took off the shoulder joints. Repositioned the joints to pose better and in the cloth on the left arm. Chopped a DC UNIVERSE wonder woman figure in half and dremeled her flat. Then attached the bottom waist down DC universe figure to the top half of the Nariko. Sculpted a new midsection over it so it woould never break. It now can swivel at the waist and her legs now have hip articulation and knee articulation. Chopped the calf down and added the lower leg portion of Nariko, but dremeled out both sides so her calves move 360 right to left so they can position for poses. Created a tab so they stay. Reattached her clothes on. Literally .2 away from placing! *bangs head on wall*
Seriously though, it was a great contest, and the winners totally deserved it! And I'm thrilled I came so close, so thanks to everyone who put me there!
So anyway, here's the next in my MOTU Hybrid line! I already posted She-ra, so I naturally had to post her arch-enemy. Presenting the despot of Despondos, the emperor of Etheria, second in command of the Evil Horde, the appropriately named . . . Hordak!
MOTU Hybrid is my attempt to unify the best of all three MOTU eras. The ideas (i.e. color schemes and concepts) of the original cartoon, the sculpts of the 2002 toys, and the articulation of modern figures, at a far more reasonable cost. However, sometimes practicality and common sense beats out aesthetics. What do I mean? Quite simply, Filmation's color scheme for Hordak was black, red . . . and blue. Yes, Hordak had blue skin. Now, I'm not some kind of jerk who's racist against Smurfs or something (a](userimages/customs/38000/37903-1.jpg) Hordak (MOTU Hybrid) Masters of the Universeby Batman1016GAH! Fourth place!! 46 to 50 points of ARTICULATION
Body - SASQUATCH starts with 42points
Opened up the figure and changed the neck. Added multiple points of articulation in the neck so the neck moves like a ball joint 360 degrees. Then added the head which is also ball jointed to move 360 degrees and has another lever to move forward in back. Repainted with 4 mixed paints and then colorwashed for multiple color layers on the head and neck. The result is about 50 points of articulation.
Somewhere between 8.5 and 9 inches tall.

I started him just days before this contest was announced. Anyone who has had one of these figures knows that it is horribly articulated. Besides for that the posture makes it almost impossible to stand the figure. But I love the sculpt. I just had to fix this figure. I really just wanted him to stand up straight.
So I added ankles from a Venom icon, elbows from a DC Aquaman, and knees from a roto Doc Ock.
This was an incredibly hard task. I almost gave up once I had the figure completely torn apart. ![[Black Widow II: Yelena Belova] Time to update my second entry in the Articulation Junkies contest. Once again, thanks to everyone who voted for my custom Marvel Select Black Widow II.
I felt the basic rules of this contest were a tad too broad (who DOESN'T make super-poseable figures these days?), so I thought I'd narrow the rules for myself, by submitting only figures that started life with extremely limited articulation before I altered them.
Diamond Select has produced some BEAUTIFUL figures with its Marvel Select line, but some, particularly the early releases, are substantially limited in the joint department. Of note is their Black Widow II figure. Clearly meant solely for display, this toy had no joints below the waist. I sought to remedy this situation. Using the lower half of a LCBH Judge Death (chosen for the slender limbs and leathery, wrinkled texture of his costume), I replaced Ms. Belova's immobile legs.
Black Widow now has double her POA, from a mere 13, to now possessing 25 joints:

![[NECA Jason + Freddy Fix] I've been customizing for years now, but have only posted one on the realm. Either because i've been busy. . . Or lazy. When i saw this contest, i knew ". . . Now's the time to act. . . "
so i started with jason. I was going through different legs for a while. I started with wwe matt striker legs, but the waist just didn't match up. Then i picked up a neca duke nukem figure i had lying around and realized it was perfect. I started by cutting jason's legs off at the knee, then cut and dremmeled it so it could be fitted to dukes lower knee joint. Then i sculpted the rips and tears, repainted and added the sheath then voilà! (i also repaired/repainted the head, and added dirty wraps to his hands for an even more outback woodsman look. )
freddy was basically the same recipe. I used parts from a dc direct jonah hex for another custom. Upon inspection, i realized the legs were in almost the exact same position as freddy's.
