It measures 6'w x 3'D x 18"H. I started with 2) 3x3 metal shelves fr the base and then built an 18"h back drop on the sides and back. I made a wooden frame and using corrugated paper (much like skinned cardboard) for the texture of the walls. I used stills from the movie that i digitally removed all the live action actors so that it would all look the same scale as my figures. By utilizing these images it give the illusion of depth and kept this rather large diorama from being any bigger that it had to be.
The recipe: I painted the floor and backdrop frame with Osha Blue spray paint. Once that dried I dusted them with white spray paint. While this paint was still wet i sprinkled laundry detergent to give it a look of clumpy snow. I them glued my custom photos to the back drops.

![[The Punisher Armory 1] Frank Castke a.k.a. the Punisher is known for using and having a variety of weapons. I was inspired to do this diorama after reading Punisher Max by Garth Ennis.
I've searched the net for ideas for his armory. which led me to reading the 10 series of The Punisher Armory. The first thing I did was to collect as much weapons and accessories that I could similar to the comic series.
This diorama by the way took me like a year to finish. I wasn't planning on joining any contest or posting this diorama on any forums, but I decided otherwise.
After collecting all the things I needed for this project, I sort them all up thinking that I have enough stuff. But when I started placing them on my custom acrylic enclosure which was originally made not for this armory but for the display of my loose collections, the enclosure turns out to be small. I've collected more than it should be. With the furnitures and accessories, it was impossible for me to place them all in one area. ok, so i wanted a boiler room for my Freddy, it's a NECA figure so the diorama is kinda huge. I started only with the wood, i cut the wood with a dremel to give it that "broken" look and during the initial part of the work i thought it was a good idea to ad some pipes, they are PVC pipes (the blue ones for water) that i painted trying to get a Rust look, to floor was painted with many coats of grey (acrylic paint) and the outside walls are painted with red/green stripes, anyone who has seen one of these movies knows that usually in the dreams of the victims this is a common pattern so i wanted that in my custom, i also added the "logo" of the movie on the left wall.

This is a custom diorama that I had planned 3 years ago. If you are old school and love this type of stuff or even a young sc-fi fantasy fanatic, you may know of this or even watched this movie that came out in 1968. I've always loved the Planet of the Apes movies and recreating one of the most iconic scenes in movie history came to mind. So, I had set out on finding a large enough Statue of Liberty to use as a base figure. I searched the web and couldn't find any souvenirs big enough. In 2009, I finally found what I was looking for in the form of the Liberty torch and the upper chest and head of the Statue of Liberty(2 separate pieces) at a used toy store. They were playsets from the first X-men movie the torch and the head part. I was very excited as I had forgotten about these from when the movie was released. This would be perfect and it would be perfect for Marvel Universe scale. I later found a 3.75" WWE Mr. Kennedy that was screaming.](userimages/customs/39500/39174-1.jpg) Planet of the Apes Marvel Universeby fastfreddieSIZE: 26" TALL AND 30" LONG

![[Echo Base Control Room] I probably spent more time trying to figure out the layout of this room than I did actually building it. I started out building the computer consoles. If I could not get the look right on these the room would not work. I started with some scrap wood and after some trial and error I ended up with computers that worked. I then designed the computer face decals and printed them on card stock and attached them to the consoles.
The chairs were a bit of a challenge because I wanted them to be movie accurate. I did the research and then racked my brain as to how I would make them happen. I used wooden paint stirs for the vertical and horizontal parts. I then added the contoured side, which were made from thin cardboard and glued to the horizontal and vertical pieces. The base of the chairs were made from those staples that close heavy duty cardboard boxes, I then added charm bracelet pieces to the sides and back and then gave it all a paint job.

Any way last summer I picked up a vintage Castle Grayskull for my toy store. When I brought it into the house my 5 year old took ownership of it. I began to ponder the issues I had with MOTU as a kid and decided to make things right in the universe (well Eternia any way).
I started by getting 2 cardboard barrels and wrapped them with insulation foam. (i used hot glue and staples to attach the foam to the barrels. Once they were covered with the foam I used a soldering iron to etch the shape of the stones. cut out the window and added the casteling on the top of the towers.
Next step was crafting the big skull. I used more insulation foam for this. I cut out the base shape and then cup out layers and stacked them to give it the 3D shape.
