It is a project that many years ago I wanted to do but never put into practice because they did not think an ideal solution for head and neck...
The customs I saw him, which by the way are many, never been satisfactory precisely this point: neck and chin normal, while the character traits required a disproportionately thick neck and an over sized chin.
Until recently, I saw a custom where the guy used the head of a Toynami figure character in another body.
So I bought that base and finally managed to complete this project still got super cool accessories, because this base.
Well, I used Spectro DCU with head, hands, cape and accessories of Space Ghost translucent Toynami (Art Asylum). I had to adjust the head and neck to fit over the neck of the original figure. ![[Captain Lou as Super Mario] Parts:
WWF Captain Lou figure
sculpy
belt from Playarts Kai Naked Snake
tools made from parts of Kai weapons
styrene
paint
super glue
hot glue
History:
A staple of the late 80s Nintendo marketing machine Captain Lou was the live action star and voice of Mario in the half hour show that also featured a Legend Of Zelda cartoon once a week, every Friday I think it was. The show had numerous stars of the time on including other WWF wrestlers. Captain Lou later went on to voice Mario in the pilot episode of the Super Mario Brothers 3 cartoon. For more information check out the wiki.
Preparing the figure:
Like most wrestling figures the body was way more muscular than Captain Lou really was and if it wasn't for the hair and goatee on the figure I’m not all that sure it would have looked like him. To prepare I trimmed off the rubber band from his cheek and moved on to removing the goatee. If I had to do this again I’d trim part of it off and sand the rest down to be his chin](userimages/customs/43000/42714-1.jpg) Captain Lou as Super Mario Originalby wesrParts:

![[Bebop TMNT] well 80's style is the theme, here he is, rocksteady's right hand man a blast from the past lol. this guy was fun, a little work, but fun to paint and use new colors. he is a maestro that was broken, so i put him back together and lost the chest articulation, but he's still nice to look at. again, this isnt par with "ANTHONYS CUSTOMS" but i didnt have everything i need and we agreed on a price that reflected the missing elements. sculpted his vest and added some lines/ details/ buttons/ holes etc.. used the classic 80's head and was stumpted on how to use it since it was rubber, and hollow inside. so.. i chopped the maestro hulks head up in pieces untill it looked like a cork and then slid it in and it worked. it was either that, or fill it with sculpt and make it even heavier then he already was gonna be. but this way i didnt have to make a new head hole etc/think. sculpted the shoe laces and sanded the crap outa this guy. went to walmart and found some chains for a f](userimages/customs/43500/43357-1.jpg) Bebop TMNT | ![[Marty Mcfly] Doesn't get more 80's than Mr.McFly here! ![[Mumm-Ra] I have never done a Thundercats custom and I love painting big figures, so then I saw an 80's contest and thought this would be killing 3 birds with one stone! So I pretty much repainted the Mezco Mumm-Ra figure and tried to make it look more realistic. Giving him a a darker skin tone as well as some veining that got lost in the camera, but it's there! I thought this would look more like a movie type skin tone, not the too bright turquoise blue it was originally colored. I also dirtied his bandage by staining it with a little bit of paint and water, cuz he shouldn't have clean brand new looking bandages. Hope you guys like!

![[Rockesteady TMNT] Let me start by saying this isn't on the " ANTHONYS CUSTOMS LEVEL". also, how much i charged the guy for them i wasn't going to go to far and beyond to break my bank. however i couldnt find a decent base, or a smart hulk for the base. so i used a planet hulk base, sculpted the upper edges of the shirt and sanded them to meet the skin. used a 80's TMNT head from rocksteady, and found some maestro hulk boots sculpted on laces, slapped on some fodder belt and pouches that were a nice camo style and color and he came together. i also have 2 huge guns for him that were from a 12 inch gi-joes. and also made his horns slightly bigger. i really fell in love with this character while painting him, he came out 90% how i wanted him to. i couldnt find any small turtle shells for his belt so i said F-IT. It is made from plastic and cardboard. Partially it is painted, partially covered with a colored paper. The Eye-Ball rockets are fixed on the ramps with a magnetic stripe.
The eyes of the rockets are made from the ball of the roll-on deodorant, the big parts of the drills from the cap of the roll-on deodorant.
The „body“ of the rockets and the middle part of the drills is made of a tube for vitamin capsules.

![[Jon Sable Freelance] Mike Grell's Jon Sable: Freelance was one of my favorite comics from the 80's. The beautiful art, the James Bond type stories...in fact I think Jon Sable was one of the first Mature Title comics I ever read...which for its time was extremely well written. The fact Mike Grell wrote and drew almost every issue of the original run also use to amaze me. Anyway on to the figure.. This honestly was a quick kit bash but turn out well. A body from Dragon models...a customized Dragon head few epoxy sculpted areas and a total repaint and I had Jon's face looking right at me. The mask if you read the book was never a real mask...but ashes of his dead wife and children when he first wore this (battle mask) in Africa...and later black make up when he wore the outfit I have the figure wearing here. Looking them over, I decided the upper 1/2 of Cena would work great for Super-Patriot!. As the Cena figure was a bit short...I took Barrett's lower 1/2 & combined them.
After painting the Uniform & painting the Crew cut Blond, I pieced together his signature Torch with spare parts. Then I attached the Pouch, + 2 smaller square ones in the back (found 1 image showing them.)
Super-Patriot was John Walkers 1st Identity, before his short stint as Cap...& then U.S.Agent. He came out as Steves antagonist...performing heroics, but more posing for the press & dissing cap. ![[The Blob (1988)] I just made this on a whim after experimenting with a package of flesh toned medical latex like they make fake limbs out of. I added the arm and leg bones from a model skeleton, a pair of hands from a Playarts Kai figure, a necklace thing from a Kai figure, and half a skull from the skeleton model as it reminded me of having been half digested already. More of the skull shows through in person as it sank a bit deeper over night. I had tried posing it in a more threatening way but this stuff has a mind of its own if you aren't careful. It had originally been nearly 2" tall but over a half hour flattened out like this.
Not many of you on here are old enough to remember the remake of The Blob from 1988, it was a very gory remake (considering how non violent the original was). Sagat served as the game's final boss, and was a wee bit different from the incarnation many know him best for today - most noticeably, he doesn't have that gnarly chest scar, as it is given to him by Ryu at the conclusion of the match seen in the game.
