![[Hush] Digging through my fodder bin, I came across a DCU Negative Man head and thought, "I haven't seen anyone use this for a Hush custom and so I decided I will be the first. I think. Hush has a DC Universe Samurai torso down to his feet. (which is the correct buck). His arms and head are from DC Universe Negative Man. And his hands and trench coat are from Marvel Legends Fantomex. I used wires for the piping on his suit as well as his boots. Basically he has sculpt from his head to his feet. The only part without sculpt is his hands. The pouches are from various ML Longshot, ML Shield Agent, and etc figures. His pistols are from some $5 army figures, which were chosen because he can actually hold them straight with Fantomex's terrible hands. The coat strap and pouch strap are some random fodder. His skirt is made from a SOTA Buffy the Vampire Slayer jacket. His crotch flap was cut out of a random cape, with a telephone cable cut in half for the sections so its still movable.

Really cool converting an original statue into Action Figure form.

Okay, so here we have a very classic rendition of everybody's favorite symbiote. To step away from the all black Venom paint jobs and to make him look as similiar to his first appearance in ASM#299-300 as possible, he sports blue comic book style shading on his entire body. For the most McFarlane-esque experience you can use the clawed SMC Venom hands! They even don't have the black dots on the webshooters!
Yes, he does come with a slew of interchangeable parts. We have two fists, the two mentioned clawed hands with articulated fingers, a gripping left hand for some web swinging and his trusty righty can transform into a deadly blade.
I'll leave the recipe to your imagination for now, but I can say that he uses parts from 6 different figures.](userimages/customs/46000/45812-1.jpg) Venom V2 Spider-Manby ShinigamiYou can find me on facebook at ShinigamiCustoms and YouTube at ShinigamiMasta.

![[Tholan Silverkin] This is a figure of my Half-Elf Paladin of Ioun from my home D&D Campaign. I had been working on him for some time, but when I saw the "Way of the Blade" competition I decided to go for it. With holidays, it was difficult getting him done in time for that competition, but thought he would be a perfect fit for this competition. I love the DC Universe figure sculpt and have used it a number of times for other customs - that said, I covered most of it up on this one.
The base figure is DC Universe's Aquaman in Water Camo. I didn't bother swapping any parts of the figure out - I just sculpted on. The armor from head-to-toe is custom sculpted in Apoxie (pauldrons, breastplate with holy symbol, chainmail, greaves, bracers, the lot). Even the waist cloak was sculpted in Apoxie, then used as a master for a silicone mold to cast in a flexible resin. This allows the cloak to be attached securely while still being able to move around the figure when it is articulated (I will submit](userimages/customs/46500/46126-1.jpg) Tholan Silverkin Dungeons and Dragonsby ekroekerThis is a figure of my Half-Elf Paladin of Ioun from my home D&D Campaign. I love the costume design by comic book artist Juan Doe as it showcases Puerto Rico's flag.
Being a Christmas gift for my pal, Paul, of Puerto Rican descent, I wanted to customize a Puerto Rican patriotic superhero for him. This was the most visually stunning one I could find.
Body - Green Lantern Medphyll with Red Lantern Skallox feet
Head - Redakai Gold Bruticon head with fodder pieces for horns. Sculpted over most of the head.
Cape - After 2 unsuccessful attempts of having paint flake off from 2 different capes, I went with creating a satin cape. The first satin cape turned out terrible so I had to draw out the schematics on paper then transfer them unto the satin fabric. I added thin metal wires near the edges for articulation. ![[The Legendary Gate] This custom has been sitting on my shelf half-finished for nearly 4 years. When I started, this was actually the second custom I ever attempted. That said, it fit this competition perfectly - so I dusted him off, and finally finish him up for this competition.
This custom is of the Legendary Gate, my hero from the late City of Heroes. Among his powers were flight and the ability to wield electricity. The base figure was the Red Tornado from DC Universe. The head was swapped out for DC Universe Batman - the cowl's ears cut down, head rounded out, and two receivers made from Apoxie were added. The cuffs on the wrists and calves were removed, and filled in with sculpy to look like tights. The lighting on his wrists come from the DC Universe Blue Superman and are removable. A tidy paint job, and the figure was complete.
The big work came in the base. The figure sits in a translucent resin base. This is my take on old Tin Grin, a design I would be happy to see in other media. I had the idea of his tunic being smeared with the blood of an enemy or failed underling, in the pattern of the Dragon Claw.
Base: DCUC Classic Detective Batman

Left hand: Marvel Legends Target Wolverine
Belt, Cloak: MOTU Hordak statue
Bracers: GI Joe Samurai Storm Shadow
Spikes:TMNT Shredder, MOTU Hordak Crossbow, green floss picks
The front fauld is leather, as is the connection between the pauldrons and the cloak, assisted by steel chain.
