![[Darth Vader] I had this Magneto heroclix for a while and wasn't sure what to make it into until I heard about this contest. So I decided to go with a classic Darth Vader from ANH.
Repainted Magneto in three shades of black his suit is greyish black, his helmet is shiny black, and the cape a matte black.
The helmet was re-shaped with puffy paint, and then detailed with metallic markers and a triangle painted piece of vinyl added to the front of the helmet.
His belt, and chest piece are also painted detailed vinyl pieces with a small chain added at the neck. The inner half cloak is real material cut and sewn behind the vinyl pieces.
Finally his lightsaber which is removable is cut from a plastic piece repainted and detailed.](userimages/customs/43500/43409-1.jpg) Darth Vader Star Warsby RogueI had this Magneto heroclix for a while and wasn't sure what to make it into until I heard about this contest. I went with a Sinister base (no pun intended just worked out that way.) I used Green Stuff for the helmet, mask, and body. The shoulder pads and the belt/front piece are from War Machine. The chest monitor is from Tech Beast. The cape from Sentry and the waist cape is a Batman cape. The lightsaber is from the Aquaman trident and the hilt from the wings of a Batman figure.
The hardest part was the helmet and mask. The mouth/nose cover kind of came out like Darth Revan but it kind of works.
I had considered going with a Thorbuster Ironman just for the height but then I thought that the only thing that could make the coolest villian ever even cooler would be thigh high jack boot;).
Anyway, paints were Testors and Tamiya and sealed with Dullcote.

When the Lord of the Sith is at the beach , he is simply known as "Vader" In this custom, Vader shows some skin for chilled day at the beach. Helmet was sculpted , Body was from King Bumi and Bottom from ML Baron Zemo, i then gave him a total repaint in Black, his body was painted yellowish Red to show Vader's incinerated skin. His Cape is made from black T-shirt. When summer is over , this guy will go back to being the Sith Lord, Darth Vader!

Well this one i did a few days ago,and i decided to put him up today.Vader is made from the body of Saga #38 and totally repainted head to toe.I hate the cheap rubbish cloth capes this figure comes with and wanted something that suited the small figure better. As I loved the head sculpt of the Saga 38 vader, i left it on the body but lifted the cape and loin skirt from the hologram vader. I loved the flow of the cape and i felt it just made vader look accurate.i had to rtim down the collar a little but how it it looks looks really nicely fitted.I also added the neck chain from a real chain i stole from my wifes old earings.(shhh)
The helmet was sanded down to rid the darn thing of plastic chunks and chips and used liquid green stuff to fill the cracks. The result was a nice smooth helmet. His lightsaber was painted to look illuminated.
Well i hope you guys like this recipe. Please let me know what you think.

I had a 20p Legolas that I noticed was damaged so I added the legs of a Prince of Persia figure, some leather, a scratch built saber and some bits from the spares. I used green stuff to sculpt the messy hair he had at the end of ep3 and cut in a scar. All was painted with citadel acrylics and based on an old tea coaster. Btw, that DV transformer is one of the worst toys i've ever had in my hands, just really shoddy design. Fortunately, his head sculpt is great and perfect scale for a 6" figure.
Nothing really completed here, just time consuming. He's almost all a Mattel wrestler, with head and chest control panel thing from the transformer. Everything else is sculpted or cloth. I wanted him to be as accurate (to empire strikes back) as possible, so i went with the robes under the chest plate look, cause i hate how they looked in A New Hope. Unfortunately, a one of the 1/18th Darth Vader toy lied to me about his glove design, so i sculpted ribs on his gloves that aren't on the actual costume, but it doesn't look bad so it doesn't bother me. ![[Darth Vader 'Thank the Maker'] I was inspired by the cover of a Star Wars tales comic 'Thank the Maker' where Vader holds the head of c3po after (I believe) coming across the dismembered droid on Bespin. It was made into a Gentle Giant Bust Christmas just gone and I always admired this subtle (if none canon) nod to Anakin Skywalker's lost past. As Vader realizes his son is alive, this ditty of finding a gold Protocol droid may have brought back memories from when Darth Vader was not more machine than man but a man happy fixing machines.

Head and some of the fodder used is from a battle force Star Wars Darth Vader. Light saber is from fodder and the handle of a paint brush. I wanted him to have another accessory so I made him a shield using clear plastic I colored red and then painted with electric/lightning effects. Wanted to look like all his gear was technological in nature.
This time I painted the arms black, the cape is black with high black gloss trim, I took the light-saber and took it from the lance look to a more sword like design, using a hilt from a skeleton warrior I think.

So I've done a couple of these, but I always wanted to do one with the Jedi Robes and that cool hood. After my experiment with making cloth hoods on my Arkham Asylum Robin, I finally felt I could do one and not have it totally suck. Originally intended to do this for Mike Martinez's Star Wars contest, before we lost him. Miss you Mike!
Same basic recipe as before, but slimmer sculpting (just got smarter with it), and no sculpt on his left sleeve. This time I went with cloth, cut to look a bit loose like his sleeve, but glued on close to the arm. Then I painted over it to match the color better of the paint on the figure. His cloak/robe is the same cloth, with a wide cut shoulder area and little flaps that fold over tolet his arms slip through. You'll see in the photos it has a solid robe look, but flows like a cape too.
The hood was rough, but I think it came off correct. Custom sculpted the lightsaber hilt and used the colored piece of transparent plastic for the blade that](userimages/customs/33500/33172-1.jpg) Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker Marvel Legendsby fitzjediHello!

![[Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith] This is one of my relatively older custom action figures (created in 2004) The goal here was to create a richly-detailed 4 inch-scale action figure of Anakin Skywalker as the powerful fallen Jedi Knight that he ultimately became. The first thing I decided was that ALL of his robes and cape were to be made of soft goods. Also, I wanted this custom action figure to be able to unmask with the correct THREE stages of head gear (rather than Hasbro’s typical two at the time.) Most importantly, I wanted a custom action figure that just looked elegant and STATELY when standing neutrally at ease. As always, custom Vader had to be correctly scaled in relation to the rest of the STAR WARS action figures in my collection (including other Customs).
