![[Street Fighter Dee Jay] Hello all, this is my very first attempt at customizing so please be gentle :) Yes, it's another Dee Jay. I have recently started up a SOTA Street Fighter collection and quickly realized one important SSF2 character was never released by SOTA. As I was searching for info on a SOTA Dee Jay I ran into figurerealm and saw people customizing their own figures which simply blew me away. At first I thought it sure would be nice to purchase one of these customs, at the same time I got another crazy idea and that was to try to do my very own custom. Expecting to fail, I'm very happy how the figure came out considering this was my very first attempt. The goal was to not make the figure look like total crap and I'd like to think I accomplished my goal. It looks good from a couple of feet away ;)
The recipe is clearly "borrowed" from several of the other great customizers on here. Used Neca Ken as a base and basically just epoxied the hair, built up the neck, filled in some holes. Have had this guy around for awhile and figured I would post him. He was a NECA Ryu Base with a Sota Balrog head. Shaved off his hair, re-sculpted the teeth, sculpted the hair and made the braids out some picture wire and actually braided them. Drilled a few holes in back of his head and inserted them and then added some epoxy. Finished him up with some paint and there you have it! Comments welcome and appreciated!](userimages/customs/45500/45456-1.jpg) Street Fighter Dee Jay Street Fighterby TheRealSupaManHappy Holidays everybody! Now as for the figure, I started off with an Akuma body and hands, Adon heads and then made some flexible ponytails for him, for cool action poses. during the process of making the figure the right leg broke off the hip ball and had to use the crotch and hip joints of another akuma and reattached the legs. then gave it my usual magnet waist and the interchangeable heads also attach by magnets. this was my first SOTA character I have finished and really liked working with him. Made the custom for a really cool guy, darksword. really appreciate the kind words and its been a real pleasure doing business.
Thanks for everyone taking the tiime to check this out and comments. I will be commenting](userimages/customs/45000/44731-1.jpg) Dee Jay SOTA |

Used Neca Ken. Removed gi. Sculpted hair and braids (would've preferred posable braids but I'm away from my fodder bag). Full repaint! ![[Dee Jay] This is my third custom action figure. It was based on the recipe by IMaxJ who made it in 2009.
I used Akuma (serie Preview) as base for the body. I cut the gi and took off the rope/belt, sanded off the sandals, added some epoxy clay in the neck and shoulders, and in the pants to rebuild the torn end. Next I Repainted the skin with brown enamel paint, the pants and gloves with orange enamel paint, and then I made the brown stripes and the letters with acrylic paint.
The head is from Balrog (serie 3). I sanded off the hair and the back of the head to make it more round (it had "oval" form), made a cut to insert the rope and transformed it in the braids. I made the mohawk with epoxy clay and painted it with acrylic. Finally I added some glaze to protect the paint from impacts and scratchs](userimages/customs/33500/33185-1.jpg) Dee Jay Street Fighterby jizahlThis is my third custom action figure. Made him from SOTA Adon head (make a cosmetic surgery on his face) and use SOTA Ryu Revo body. Also sculpt his braids and add his MAXIMUM words on his pants (this is hard). Paint him using acrylic paint (both brush & airbrush).
fell free to give any comments, people.

Truth be told, I'd almost forgotten that I needed to do this character for the set, but as I thought about it, the recipe seemed to work in my head, so with a little excitement, I tackled this all but forgotten character.
It was a pretty simple set-up actually. I had a SF4 Ryu body lying around since I used the head for Alex, and I thought to myself, "If I just fill in the tears at the bottom of the pants and take off the gi, I'm halfway there!" So, after setting that up, I realized that using a Sota Balrog head would be an awesome and accurate way to go, and 2 Cammy braids later, he was built.
As usual, the paint app. was a test of patience and will (my detailing brush bit the dust) and not having the right brushes made it a headache. All in all though, it was a fun custom, and I think he looks pretty darn cool; it definately made me appreciate this under-used cha](userimages/customs/14000/13797-1.jpg) Dee Jay Street Fighterby RenmauzoNow here's one that's almost been forgotten in the SF universe, custom no. 35, Dee Jay, for my SFA3 set!
