![[HE-MAN(Dolph Lundgren)] ***Uploaded new better pics
What can I say? I started this figure over a year ago and just got around to finishing it. Why so long? Well, a bit of engineering went into it. You see, I wanted this to be a fully articulated version of Dolph Lundgren, not just a stand-in-one-upright-position figure (statue). When DCUC came out with Samurai, I knew I had my base!
Getting high quality images of the costume details was difficult but I finally managed to do so. Sculpting these details in a way that didn't hinder the articulation was another task all in itself. I sculpted the shoulder pads in the following way:
- put tape onto the shoulder areas and sculpted the pads with Apoxie Sculpt
- removed them once they cured and then painted them
Once that was done, I had to figure out a way to attach them to the upper BACK of the figure so when the arms are raised, they raise up too. So they are totally separate from the shoulders. This method helped me figure out how to make the shoulder pauldron](userimages/customs/48500/48202-1.jpg) HE-MAN(Dolph Lundgren) | ![[Contemporary He-Man (Comic Book Style)] My next custom is inspired by the awesome He-man comic book currently being published by Dc: He-man!! The figure features a new head and hair sculpt, a Brand new Power harness (non removable) sculpted exactly as seen in the comic book and detailed with a dark wash to simulate a combat worn look. His loincloth features an acrylic faceted jewel embedded in the sculpt, a brand new belt, the traditional 3 part chainmail and newly sculpted fur on the boots and inserts. A fan favorite as seen on many polls. This is Crita on her “ Queen of the Gleanons” outfit.
I took special care on sculpting the details of her armor and added some new details on her breastplates and feet (I did not liked the “ballerina” shoes the original design had) she includes a retooled gun with removable blast effect. She looked so innocent that I had to enhance her looks a bit , so I modded her dress with some sculpted designs painted in gold, sculpted boot tops and sash ,plus a resculpted face. As you can tell she was made mostly using the She-ra buck but I modded the skirt so she can do wide stances. The skirt won’t tear all the way up since a round hole was made to avoid that. To top her looks, she needed a weapon, At first I thought of giving her a staff but it just looked too plain…so instead I gave her this javelin, so now she looks more like a sort of Gabrielle of the new adventures! I was thrilled when NECA released the "Drago" figure, which this time actually looked a bit like Dolph Lundgren. I've seen a few of these done already (kudos to those who had the creative eye for this as well), but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make my own. So, here is what I did:
The figure base didn't require much except for new hands. Let me tell you, this was probably the HARDEST part of doing this project. I needed hands that could hold the sword and that were molded in the proper scale. In the end, the winning hands came from a NECA T-1000 steel mill figure.
I used a LOT of epoxy to build on this figure. The "Drago" hair was dremeled down and the new hair was sculpted completely from epoxy. The arm and leg bands...epoxy. ![[Vintage He-Man Head for Classics Figures] At Power-Con I had some suggestions to make a head accessory for the motuc he-man figure with the face of the original vintage toy. After examining it, I saw that a cast would fit perfectly if retooled properly. Now I'm still debating on how to paint the eyes: with full black( just like the toy) or give him a more realistic one with blue eyes and brown eyebrows. In this case I went all vintage, but added a bit of white for balance. My very first contest I entered here on the Realm he offered a prize for the Rock'em Sock'em Robot contest. I ended up winning and I received an awesome custom SteelJaw transformer. That experience left an indelible mark on me. I vowed to myself that if my skills ever got to the point that my customs were desirable (I don't know if I got there yet but I figure what the hey) I wanted to follow in his footsteps and give someone else the great experience I got. So in essence this is me paying it forward.
So with no further adieu, it is my pleasure to present Snake Armor He-man!!!!
I wanted this prize to be desirable, so I cheated and used a figure that is pretty rare (well it is here in the United States). That way I knew there was a good chance that the winner will be happy with the prize despite my skill limitation.
The first thing I did was give He-man some new legs so he can stand up straight. I used DCU Cyborg right leg and a DCU buck's l](userimages/customs/43500/43237-1.jpg) Snake Armor He-Man (Power of Grayskull Contest Pri |
![[Samurai Faker He-Man] A repaint of a Samurai He-Man 2007 (I think). I took off the breast plate tho and made it so it was removeable. I filled in the chest with apoxie.
Full repaint of the rest of the toy. I always wanted Faker as a young kid and my mom wouldn't allow it because he was more or less an "evil he-man". So I finally made my own. I really feel like this is how he would really look. With his blue skin shining with a silver glint. As he was basically a cyborg. I painted him Enchanted blue and washed with a bit of black mixed with the same enchanted blue. Then dry brushed with ice blue and silver to give him that cold shiny steel look.
Hope you guys like him as much as I do.
Thanks.](userimages/customs/43500/43190-1.jpg) Samurai Faker He-Man | ![[He-Man] For the Power of Grayskull contest I wanted to tackle the central character. The most powerful man in the Universe...He-man. My vision for him was to have a muscular build but not be a body builder type. To me He-man was the ultimate athlete. So he is not only strong but also quick with great agility. I really like the Triple H base because he wasn't too big also he had alot of muscle definition. For his head I chose the DCU Superman, I admit I envision He-man as more handsome and less barbaric. I thought He-man should have long hair so I used Doc Samson's. As for his for attire, I got the idea to use the Ice armor He-man from Pasco's Barbaric He-man. I loved the colors he used, the earth tones with the accents of bronze and gold. A very good look for He-man, I think. But you tell me... As always thanks for the views, votes and comments. Then I sprayed him with an all over coat of candy lime spray paint and rubbed dark green into all of the muscle deffinition and features. Next I dry brushed lots of shades of lime to almost florecent green and painted his eyes red. He was fineshed off with a coat of clear gloss spray.
The Slime pit was carved from foam boards and the Hordak head was a cast I took from a MOTUC Hordak and the claw was sculpted from scratch around a wire frame. The skull was the head of a MOTU 200X Battle bones re painted and screwed in place. There are 3 interchangable slime peices and one fixed peice in the mouth all of the slime was made from cling film (seran wrap) covered in hot glue that was painted to match the figure.

After the tons of requests I received, I finally found the time to properly finish my movie motuc custom He-man. Many of you might remember the one I made a while ago in the dcuc scale, well this is a completely different sculpt with all the parts being made from scratch after seeing the movie for like 5 times (trust me I know now every one of the actor’s lines now) It took me about a year to finish it. Production started around the same time the Pixel Dan figure was made ,but with all the work I had, the figure got pushed back every time.
I used several figures to create him: Sculpted head from scratch (see video) Demo man lower legs (you can also use photog) Bow’s crotch and left arm, He-man torso, upper arms, feet and upper legs, and Adora’s holster modded so it fits on his waist. The sword holster comes from a strap of the Nick Fury figure from Hasbro…really a ton of parts to create this unique figure!

![[Inca He-Man: Koy-Jor] Hello guys! Now that San Diego is almost upon us I wanted to reveal what could have been my entry to the create a character contest (I did not entered cause I do not agree with the terms you had to sign in the entry form, even if you did not win) The design for Koy-Jor has heavy Inca influences, from the earrings (Tulumpi) to the Grayskull chacana cross, the sun god and the Wiracocha emblem on his forehead, all detailed with rich colors, deep shading and Motuc style .
Since I was no longer creating it for the contest I scratched the original design which was heavy in the reuse of parts, and started fresh.
I created a bio for him happening during the time of King Grayskull , where he was first an ally from a different tribe and then becoming his master tactician. His banishment occurred a few days before the battle against Hordak where King Grayskull lost his life.

Wait, what? Why is Tony Stark after He-man? Why does he want to bust him? All these questions will be answered in the upcoming episodes of “ Action figure tales” which I wrapped shooting last weekend!
This figure has been designed merging several aspects of the comic book character, his appearance in the movies (Avengers Yay!!) It has been repackaged in a unique crossover box featuring the Motuc logo and the Avengers and also features an all new Bio for it (since I designed the character) which is a prelude of things to come in action figure tales!
