![[Moonstone] Here is another of my experiments to make an articulated female base from the Hasbro female. This time Moonstone from the thunderbolts.
recipe;
Elektra with the torso twist replaced with a barbell joint to increase articulation.
Lower legs from wasp and feet from black widow, I have dremeled to give them the new Hasbro foot articulation.
Head is from a resculpted Buffy figure with hair from a movie Pheonix.
thighs have been thickened and crotch dremeled to increase range of motion.
Painted in silvers and golds and given a gloss varnish, not really pleased with the finish but it will do for my shelf.
Cheers for looking.](userimages/customs/41000/40531-1.jpg) Moonstone | ![[Ms. Marvel Aka Moonstone] Decided to make a Dark Avengers team, here is Ms Marvel AKA Moonstone, she was made using a DCU Star Sapphire body, cast Black Canary head with hair from movie Jean Grey. Hope you like it!

![[Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel (Moonstone)] My second attempt at Ms. Marvel, this time using a new recipe:
2-Pack Elektra Body/Bandana
DMC Cast Supergirl Head
The head wasn't a perect fit, so I ended up having to super glue it on. Never the less, it looks great and is exactly what I wanted for her. In the comics she always had super straight hair and this is one of thefew headsthat had that. The scarf was sculpted and Elektra's bandana fixed to it. Everything else is just paint! The hair is shaded, skin layred, and eyes blue, they just didn't show up well in the photos.](userimages/customs/25500/25387-1.jpg) Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel (Moonstone) Marvel Legendsby cbrocustomsMy second attempt at Ms. Marvel, this time using a new recipe:

I had an extra 2-pack ML Elektra head, so we went with that. It looked a little off at first, but the scarf helped mask the size difference with a slight change in perspective. ![[Moonstone] Dr. Karla Sofen first became a criminal by manipulating the first Moonstone, Lloyd Bloch, into giving her his power source, an alien gem. She battled heroes such as Captain America and the Hulk before joining the Masters of Evil. She later rejoined Baron Zemo and others in the villains-disguised-as-heroes group, the Thunderbolts.
After acquiring a Spider-Woman figure, I was inspired to make Moonstone. The helmet was made from Spider-Man's head, with Spider-Woman's lower face attached, and rubber bungee for the 'fin', and plastic for the chinguard. The gloves are from Bucky, and the feet from Doc Ock. The belt and armbands are also made from bungee, and the chest-piece is from Giant-Man's belt. The eyepieces on the helmet are made from stick-on earrings, and finally the hair is from Emma Frost. Photos by Nara and myself. Basically the same recipe as my Carol Danvers Ms. Marvel, but to keep them from being too similar, I used a Maria Hill head with actual eyes painted in as opposed to the Frank Cho version with just white eyes, and I cut out the bangs and top of the hair from She-Hulk, and completely resculpted it to make it more like Karlas. I went a different route than I usually do with painting, and used mostly Citadel Foundation paints, which while a good experience, I probably won't be using too often. They are very nice, rich colors though. I went with an unnaturally yellow color for her hair since I remember it being noted that she dyes her hair blonde, and in a lot of her portrayals, its crazy golden color.](userimages/customs/21000/20564-1.jpg) Dark Ms. Marvel (Moonstone) |

-Used psylocke as base, wasp for the arms and lower legs, resculpted psylocke's hair, used psylocke's belt as a scarf, sculpted the mask and the star on her chest.
-Most of the work goes to sanding off the joints. Sheeesh! What a pain... Haha!
Painted it with tamiya acrylics and sealed it with a kiss... Err... Sealed it with clear paint to eliminate paint chipping especially in the joints.
So here you go, a fully poseable/playable dark avenger moonstone.

I wanted her to be a taller female to help distinguish her "imposing" presence. I added a DC Direct Hush Huntress head (which wasn't as easy as I thought it would be). Then I used the silver base/clear yellow paint scheme to give her a luminescent look.
When I unpacked her after my move, I discovered that one of the tips of her mask had broken off. I glued it back on, but you can still see the break line :(

![[Moonstone] Moonstone is now the field leader of the revamped Thunderbolts, sponsored by the government. The Director of this team, the semi-insane Norman Osborn, eventually turned to blackmail to force her to join, threatening that he would remove her moonstone and put her in a coma if she refused. Moonstone is seen as a ruthless if less-than-capable leader of the Thunderbolts; on one of their first missions (capturing the renegade Jack Flag), she preferred to have the mission finish early so that she could have sex with one of the government agents, a point stressed by Songbird at their next briefing. She is fully behind the Thunderbolts new concept, most especially in that they must rely on public approval to stay employed; what she is against are her team-mate Songbird and her employer, Osborn. In the most recent story, she revealed that she had been influencing S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to give Norman Osborn placebos rather than his usual medication, and also that when Osborn was gone she planned t](userimages/customs/3000/2863-1.jpg) Moonstone Marvel Legendsby knightmare69Moonstone is now the field leader of the revamped Thunderbolts, sponsored by the government.
