![[Ram Man 200X] Ram Man, the human battering ram, was the big man of the Masters of the Universe in the 200X animated series. Mattel's Ram Man figure had a spring loaded action feature, but was shorter in height than the other MOTU figures. But, in the 200X show he was actually much bigger.
I removed the short legs with springs and replaced them with longer ones from ML Abomination but kept the boots on the new legs. Now the figure stands taller than the other characters (except Mekaneck). It also has added articulation to do walking or running poses (vs Whiplash).
I thought about entering this into the Power of Grayskull custom contest but decided on different ones to enter instead. There have already been many great Ram Man customs on figurerealm. Thanks for looking!](userimages/customs/43500/43401-1.jpg) Ram Man 200X | ![[Ram Man] For this contest I choose to do Ram Man. I was never a huge fan of his look, so I opted to do a leaner version.
Started with a Mongul as a base. Swapped in some SML Juggernaut hand, and added a Fixit Hulk head. Everything else is made from craft foam and Aves, (except for the chain which is from a Luke Cage belt) Also included is a proper axe, because lets face it, the one he normally comes with just isn't big enough.](userimages/customs/43500/43193-1.jpg) Ram Man |
![[Ram Man (MOTU Hybrid)] And last in my Power of Grayskull Contest entries, the ridiculous Ram-Man!
Seriously, he's a man, and he rams stuff. With his head. And in the old cartoon, his LEGS were SPRINGS. No really, ridiculous is the right word.
As a child, my best friend Alex owned EVERY MOTU figure. Literally. EVERY LAST ONE. He still has them, as far as I know, and he's likely sitting on a fortune. Me? I owned exactly two MOTU figures. Battle-Armor Skeletor with the rotating "battle damage" chest, and Ram-Man. For that reason alone, I have a certain fondness for the character. Not to mention a certain level of childhood trauma and emotional scarring . . . see, I left Ram-Man at my uncle's house one day, and when I came back a few days later, I discovered, much to my horror, that his stoner roommate had cut a large gouge in his head and epoxied his axe into the helmet, then painted the word "Red-Cabbaage" on his back (the nickname of their other roommate) as a joke. ![[Ram Man] BASE: MOTU 200X RAM MAN
LEGS: CONAN THE EXPLORER 1992 FIGURE](userimages/customs/36500/36374-1.jpg) Ram Man | ![[Ram Man] I have been a fan of the MOTU 200X sculpts by the Four Horsemen for A LONG time. But the articulation leaves alot to be desired. Then I saw amazing custom work by great customizers like Darththomas and Madtinker and others and I realized the 200X figures can be upgraded. But truthfully the same customs that inspired me intimidated me as well. You guys have really set the bar high. Hopefully my MOTU custom does justice to the tradition you guys have started.
Ram man has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. As a kid how can you not like a guy whose superpower is his armored head and he just rams everything with it. But as an adult I realized they made him look pretty dopey. The cartoon that came out it the early 2000's portrayed him as a big burly guy but they made him kinda fat. My vision of Ram man is more muscular like a football player. I never realized his color scheme was bright red and green. So I darkened his red to a deep crimson and used a dark forest green so he would](userimages/customs/34500/34131-1.jpg) Ram Man |
![[Ram Man] I'm real happy with how he turned out. I always hated Ram Man in the 80's cartoon, the figure sucked too. I did warm up to him in the 2000 cartoon, but they did the spring loaded legs again, for the fail.
So I decided he needed the change.
Used a Ram Man 2000 figure body and head and Spider-man series Juggernaut legs and arms.
A little paint, dry brushing. Since he is all about smashing stuff I ditched the axe for a hammer(from a Buffy figure).
Included a side by side for comparison.](userimages/customs/18500/18276-1.jpg) Ram Man | ![[Ram Man] Another repaint 4 my collection. took about 3hrs do complete last night. I don't like this figure very much with the spring loaded legs, its more just 4 kids 2 play with. I hope when they make a MOTUC Ram Man he will be big and bulky and will not have the spring loaded legs and a bigger scale than the other figures would be awesome, This guy has a lot of potential 2 be a great figure, I mean hes just Juggernaut in a different costume if u think about it.

![[Ram Man #2] I just took alittle ideas from all of the MOTU fans on the realm....just looking at all the creators like Criso,Madtinker 76,and Fert666....all amazing jobs on their Ram man. So here's my 2nd Ram man....again I hope you guys like it.](userimages/customs/9500/9014-1.jpg) Ram Man #2 | ![[Ram Man] This is another one that was started awhile ago but never finished. Trying to clean up my work area a little bit. X3 Juggernaut never did anything for me except swear that the face looked more like Luke Wilson than Vinnie Jones. So I had taken the Vinnie Jones head off and found that Bizzaro from the DCSH line fit perfectly, plus Bizzaro's head is kind of flat on top like Ram Man's. Another bonus was the dented helmet fit perfectly on his head and was removable also.
The armor is layered foamie sheets with a chain from a LCBH Conan. The two clasps are from the 2002 Ram Man figure.I liked the tarnished look of the armor, it adds to the age and the wear and tear that it has seen.
Also in line with that I kept the color of the clothes muted, I was tempted to paint the classic colors but felt this worked well.](userimages/customs/9000/8703-1.jpg) Ram Man |
