![[Light Spinner (Shadow Weaver Origins)] This is probably one obscure alternate identity character, but this is who SHADOW WEAVER used to look like before Hordak transformed her. Her design is somewhat conflictive since in the cartoon she was drawn differently than in the comics so, I had to mix the best of each incarnation to bring the definitive Light Spinner version.
Her body is made out of a cast of the lower skirt of Shadow Weaver (Hey, I'm not that crazy to chop a factory one!) and a cast of Battleground Teela's upper torso. The arms were kindly donated from a Tallstar figure the rest is castings and resculptings.(More pics on the video)
As you can see she includes both a UK inspired head and a Filmation style one. Also, a "light" attachment so you can recreate the scenes in the comic.

![[Shadow Weaver (MOTU Hybrid)] Like most of the characters from He-Man's (literal) sister series, She-Ra: Princess of Power, Shadow Weaver never got a 2002 update. That honor was reserved exclusively for the male villains (and TECHNICALLY She-Ra herself, although that toy was essentially just a minimal re-sculpt of the existing Teela figure, and an extremely rare con exclusive to boot). I felt it was high time some other PoP characters got some 2002 love, and Shadow Weaver was first on the list!
MOTU Hybrid is my attempt to unify the best of all three MOTU eras. The ideas (i.e. color schemes and concepts) of the original cartoon, the sculpts of the 2002 toys, and the articulation of modern figures, at a far more reasonable cost. Of course, for a character that never HAD a 2002 toy, the middle part is entirely discretionary. Well, not entirely. If I'm going to make a Four Horsemen character, I want to make it using a Four Horsemen sculpt. So, DCUC Desaad was really the ONLY choice.
So many MOTU fans make 2002](userimages/customs/43500/43007-1.jpg) Shadow Weaver (MOTU Hybrid) | ![[Black Lantern Shadow Weaver (as Seen in Action Fig] The last one of my Motuc green lantern Crossovers comes with this unique Shadow Weaver. Her origin will be explained in the next installment of action figure Tales, The figure was carefully designed so both concepts can coexist (She-ra/Black lantern) The figure was then repackaged for the mint on card collector.

![[Shadow Weaver] I wanted to do a 4 inch version of Shadow Weaver because I love the character design. Plus I am just a sucker for evil women sorceresses (try saying that 10 times fast!).
Her arms and upper torso are from a Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith Mon Mothma, with her face dremeled off. The legs and hands are from a Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith Emperor Palpatine. The hood and belt are from a Chap Mei wizard figure (he looked kind of like a Skeletor rip-off, gotta love Chap Mei!). Her crystal ball/short staff/magical wand thing is from a Moore Collectibles Lady Death figure. Not sure where the flames are from.
I tweaked her design slightly to give her a more barbaric look.
Hope you dig her! Thanks for checking it out!](userimages/customs/34500/34266-1.jpg) Shadow Weaver | ![[Shadow Weaver] Fairly easy figrue to do. Removed her cape. Scalpted more of a hood that would hand lower, cover her face, and still allow movement. Cut her front cloth to a point so I had something to tuck her dress into. ![[MOTU Classics Shadow Weaver] Hay Guys, well this is a figure I started months ago but then couldnt think how to do the cape and so she sat around waiting to be finished off, then the other day I thought of a way that I wanted to try for the cape so here is how I made her.
I started by taking a ML She-Hulk and removed the hair. Next I took off here head, cut the finger off a latex glove and made a tiny hole in the tip of the finger and put it over the body with the neck peg through the hole and popped the head back on. I used fixit to sculpt her hood left to dry popped the head off and peeled the latex from inside.
I cut off the feet and carved the bottom of her legs into a peg that fits into the clear base of a plastic wine glass. Now I wanted to make my Shadow Weaver seem a bit creepyer without canging here look to much so what I did was cut off she-hulks lower arms about a 1cm below the elbow joint and then I cut the arms off of grendles mother at the elbow and atattched them to the she-hulk arms making the arm](userimages/customs/28500/28439-1.jpg) MOTU Classics Shadow Weaver | ![[Motuc Shadow Weaver] This is a custom figure I was asked to do of shadow weaver from she-ra.
I was basically asked to make her so as she would fit in with the motuc range of figures.
She was created using a dc infinite crisis donna troy figure as a base.
I started off by sculpting her skirt, belt & head using super sculpey.
I attached a transparent base to the bottom of her skirt so when she stands she appears to be floating. This base is removable.
When the supersculpey was set I then created her cape using a product called makins clay. I really like using makins clay for capes etc because when it is dry it still has some movement to it.
The next step was to paint her using humbrol enamel paints. I decided to go for her classic filmation colours which consist of pink costume & red belt with horde logo.
I then gave her a coat of matt varnish for extra protection.
I finished her off by adding a layer of glow in the dark paint over her yellow eyes so when it is dark her eyes glow.](userimages/customs/28500/28414-1.jpg) Motuc Shadow Weaver |
![[Shadow Weaver V 3.0 (Classics)] After tons of requests via facebook, I decided to try my hand at making a different version of Shadow Weaver. This time, the waist articulation is sacrificed in order to get a much more sexy and detailed ab line much like the cartoon. ![[Shadow Weaver] This is my first attempt at a custom figure.
I made this Shadow Weaver in the style of the neca mini statues so it is a staction to go with my Hordak.
first I took the legs from a X-MEN movie Storm figure, the arms and torso from a movie Mystique figure and the head and sholder joints from a Callisto figure made them all fit together and then sculpted the rest from Fimo and Fixit sculpt. Then I painted her and added a clear stem to make her hover about 3/4 of a cm above the stand.
I am kind of pleased with her for my first attempt at sculpting and custom figures in general.
Hope you enjoy her.

![[Shadow Weaver] Shadow weaver made from lotr galadriel with a muliput hood .](userimages/customs/11500/11279-1.jpg) Shadow Weaver | ![[SHADOW WEAVER Mini Statue] Perhaps the most popular and yet under-merchandised character in the whole MOTU/POP universe. But for sure one of my favorites and certainly no harem of Horde girls would be complete without her. Skirt, cape and point of her hood came courtesy of a Gandalf figure. The point of the hood was then blended with the rest of the hood which I sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt. Her hands are from an old Venom figure. Although they are oversized when compared to the cartoon what I always like about the MOTU Mini Statue series is how stylistically they represented a bit of a twisted re-invention and the huge clawed hands are in keeping with that. Her belt was also sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt. Now she is completed I could say in hindsight that to mimic her levitation she may have benefited from being mounted an a clear plastic rod that inserts into the base. But saying that it may be one of those things that looks great in the mind's eye but completely goofy in practice](userimages/customs/11000/10540-1.jpg) SHADOW WEAVER Mini Statue |
