Uruk-Hai (Crossbow) Review

Uruk-Hai (Crossbow)
Lord of the Rings - Return of the King (Toy Biz) - Series 1
Eh a new figure? Its about time we got an orc that’s not a repackage.

Standing at about 6 inches tall we have the crossbowmen of the Uruk army. He comes with several exciting things namely a working crossbow, 5 bolts and a helmet. What idiot made this helmet? It looks like a boat or a weird bucket, certainly not a battle helm. That may be the only odd item though, everything else is fine. The crossbow is probably the easiest bow to use in the series. Simple push a bolt into the hole, pull the lever and hope ya don’t hit someone in the eye, even fits nicely in his hands to. For those extra bolts just set'em in his nifty quiver located on his right leg.

The Uruk’s paint and armor looks good. Unlike other Uruk's he wears quite a bit of armor, covering his entire upper torso with plate mail and chainmail. he even has a spiked gauntlet on his left arm fro close combat. All the armor is painted rusy silver and his skin is the orc standard red. Bolts are a flat brown.

Movement is yet again, typical, being at the head, shoulders, elbows, legs and knees.

A cool figure with everything close to its movie counterpart, which is somewhere in the movie. For once the Orc head even looks right instead of looking odd.

I agree, awesome figure. My only complaint was the wrists lack of articulation but everything else on it makes up for it.
