Merry & Pippin (Elven Cloaks) Review

Merry & Pippin (Elven Cloaks)
Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Series 4
Bah, even more repackaging. Luckily though they made some changes, at least we can be happy about that.

Made for the third time, the first being the combo pack, the second being the combo packs with a hobbit and an orc now this, both hobbits together. In all three cases, they are the same style figure but with a few changes. Both still come with swords but now they lack their pouches and now they both wear identical elven cloaks, which this time are removable. Both Merry and Pippin still have their swinging action two.

To sound like a broken record, its the same figure. In all three cases its the same figure. Whats the difference you ask? The first combo packs hobbits in the Fellowship of the Rings had less articulation. These new hobbits have movement in the head, shoulders, elbows, writs, waists, thighs, knees and feet, much more then the originals.

Paintjobs still exactly the same the only difference being in the cloaks which are now both a forest green and are loose rubber as opposed to grey and brown unmoving rubber cloaks from the first wave.

Overall a not bad but over played remake. If given a choice id suggest buying this set and buying the separate Moria Orc, it actually may be cheaper and the hobbits have better articulation and better cloaks.
