Snowtrooper (Tripod Cannon) Review

Snowtrooper (Tripod Cannon)
Star Wars - Power of the Force (1995) (Kenner) - Deluxe Figures
Sometimes fans actually do get some figures that were only seen for a quick second. These figures usually vary, sometimes they are good and sometimes they suck horribly. Well the particular figure here, Snowtrooper (Tripod Cannon) , actually came out well. This snow trooper was the operator of the tripod cannon during the attack on Echo Base.

Our trooper comes at 3.75 inches tall. His sculpt is more meant for working the cannon then anything else since he is in a crouched stance with his arms close to his sides. If he is away from the cannon he wont stand up, I've tried. If someone can get him to stand up without the cannon then they are better at this then I. Anyhow, he’s just your normal trooper, he comes exactly like the other Snowtrooper except with no weapons, just a pack to attach. The main prize here is the cannon. Its your basic giant cannon on a tripod stand. It also has a large tube that runs from the bottom of the cannon to a power box The box is empty and the top comes off which is cool because you can store stuff inside it. Anyhow, back to the cannon. Its shot it your normal thing, load, pull lever and watch the sucker fly.

Coloring is pretty basic. The Snowtrooper is white and for closer details on him you can either see the picture or read the Basic Snowtrooper figure review since the main thing here is the cannon. To put it simply, the cannon is solid black, all of it. The cannon, shot, power cable and box are ALL black, there isn’t even colored buttons. This really isn’t a bad thing, cannons don’t usually look like a rainbow and shells aren’t brightly colored.

Now on to articulation, listen up now. The Snowtrooper is still the same, movement at the arms and legs, they still didn’t give him head movement. The cannon actually does have movement. It can rotate 360 degrees and it can aim up and down, not bad for in inanimate object.

Overall a pretty nice combo pack. You get tone more grunt and a giant cannon to give support to your men. This one earn 4.80 stars out of 5.
