Write a Review link for that item. Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner)The T-16 Skyhopper (Luke Skywalker's) figure is one of those figures that defines irrelevancy in my opinion. It was mentioned in one sentence, might have been part of the background for a few seconds and we STILL got a figure that wasn’t the greatest. Now lets move on to the rest of my annoyance. I believe they really screwed this one up in more ways then one. Two of the three features are pretty much useless. Ill report them anyhow, starting with the most useful. The first is the wings, something they did right. These buggers actually fold in a variety of ways. They can either be at 90, 45 or just about and other degree you can think of up to about 180. Folding wings are nice, makes easy storage. Here’s where we run bad, the cockpit. The cockpit is one of those pull out deals. It plugs into the body and to get it out you grab a knob in the back and yank, cockpit comes out. This isn’t to bad except the seat is small, small in a bad way. Its hard to get the actual figures in and even worse to try to push the cockpit back in without catching a figures leg. If you want to play with it I suggest a GI Joe or something with better leg movement. The third and worse feature is the stinking cannon. it’s a fine cannon in its own right, push missile in, pull lever, etc. The cannon has a “C” clamp which you hook to the bottom of the T16, the cannon hangs below. The problem with this is you can't set it down. This massive cannon blacks the ship from sitting down straight. When you put it down you either bend/crush the cannon or the ship lays at and angle where it looks like its taken a spill. This was a poorly designed idea and costs the ship many a good point. Coloring really isn’t to bad. The whole front of the ship is a light grey color with a red tripe at the top fin. The back of the ship, cockpit, cannon and shot are a white/cream color, still not to bad. The ships cockpit also features a clear plastic so we can see whichever figure you manage to jam into the ship. There is some movement on this thing. The cannon can rotate 360 degrees and the wings fold so that counts for something or other. This could have been done allot better then it was. The cannon should have been out in a better spot or already attached and the cockpit should have been made bigger then it was. This one gets 4.00 out of 5 stars.   by Mr-X |
