SUBJECT: Ro Laren
ASSIGNMENT: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D
PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENT: U.S.S. Wellington
PROFILE: Ro Laren. A Bajoran refugee as a child, she witnessed the Cardassians ruin and plunder her people. At age seven, Ro was forced to witness the Cardassians torture her father to death. These early childhood events may account for Ensign Ro’s numerous reprimands once she joined Starfleet Academy. She was court-martialed for disobeying direct orders on Garo II while she served on the U.S.S. Wellington. As a result of the disastrous mission, eight of her Away Team crew members were killed. Ro was imprisoned on Jaros II until 2368. Starfleet Admiral Kennelly arranged for her release, provided she participate in a secret mission against Bajoran terrorism. She uncovered the terrorist’s plot while on her covert mission aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, exposing the Cardasisans as the true perpetrators of the attempted terrorism. Afterwards, Captain Picard invited her to remain on the Starship Enterprise. She has displayed great resourcefulness and high intelligence while serving aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise.
SPECIAL NOTATION: Details of events on Garon II and Ensign RO Laren’s court-martial are still classified top secret.
