6-inch fully articulated Boba Fett!

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

I thought I'd share some pictures of a figure I won from threeA toys last year. I finally got around to opening the thing, and It. Is. AWESOME!

This is a prototype, produced by threeA toys in their attempts to get licensing rights to produce premium-format 6-inch scale Star Wars figures. A size comparison with a 3.75 inch Star Wars figure:

A size comparison to Marvel Legends Gambit:

Close-up:

This bad-boy is FULLY ARTICULATED, and as you can see, the uniform is completely soft-goods. The little pockets and pouches actually open!

And here's a side-by-side shot with some 6-inch Epic Force Star Wars figures from Hasbro-

Thanks for checking out the photos!

I can promise you these bad boys wouldn't be $20-25 each. ThreeA toys runs on the pricer side but they are so worth it. Something this scale from them would probably run somewhere between $50-100 each as I've seen the larger scale ones on certain sites for up to $400. I also couldn't ever see them as retail items as ThreeA are def designed to be for adult collectors.

I would love so many of the figs that ThreeA puts out, but I just can't afford them. Each and every one of them is just a work of art.

6" Star Wars figures would be awesome! However, given the pricing structure of the 3.75" figures, they'd probably run between $20-$25.

This is a thing of beauty bro! I definately would buy one. Only problem there...he said threeA toys. Minimum price per figure would be around $100 most likely. It would take a small fortune to collect these at threeA prices. I love the company's work but can't brimg myself to buy one.

I just found this on threeaonline

Our boardie Eric (who is know as well for his ThreeA podcasts) won a contest back in 2011 and received, as the prize - sample figure of 1/12th scale Boba Fett. ThreeA made an extremely small run of Star Wars figures to show Lucas , what we are capable of. Unfortunately these figures will never see the production light, but thanks to Eric (who released his Boba from the blister), we can checkout all the amazing details on this little guy.

Bummer!

Eric you better enjoy the hell out of that figure and someday if you get tired of it . . . ahh who am I kidding! LOL

thanks for posting!

So would I! It is the one major toyline that is lacking in the larger scale figure dept. I would really like to see that happen with cor characters. Even if Fett's suit wasn't soft goods it would still be an amazing figure to have. Please keep us updated on this!

3A toys started working on a licensing deal late last year. Distribution in the US appears to be a no-go; Hasbro still owns the rights for any figures made in this scale for U.S. Distribution. As of now, it appears that the most likely route is through a license holder in Asia. Negotiations are unfortunately at a stand-still...
