Blue Lotus

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

Hey guys. I have been working on an idea for a website for about 4 months. I have made entire websites, and then deleted them because I was unhappy with them. Anyway, I have finaly found a style im going to stick with for the site. The website is Blue Lotus. Blue Lotus was basicaly designed to be a small action figure collecting guild, which focuses on 3 3/4 inch action figures, like Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Captain Power, figures about 4 inches tall. Anyway, I have finaly started puting the site up on the internet. I am anxious to start getting feedback. Just keep in mind, that the site is not expected to be fully functional until June of 2005. I have been talking to people that buy action figures on Ebay from me, and inviting them to come visit the site, and many have said they would. The forum for this site is up and operational. I would appreciate anyone willing to drop a line on the board and say hi. Especialy you Captain, you need to sign up for the Blue Lotus board, you have lotsa apprx 4 inch figures. I welcome any and all feedback about Blue Lotus, be it good or bad. Let me know what you think. I added a link to Figure Realm on Blue Lotus with permision. So, anyway, heres the link to the site. ( I will get a shorter URL for the site when its closer to being finished.)

I know it takes a lot of work. I have experienced similer jobs when I ran 2 different gaming societies. One I ran for around 2 years, and the other for about 4 and a half. I know pretty much what to expect out of this. But, I know what you mean, I have said the same thing to other gamers who started their own clans, and, they were surprised at how much time and work it realy is. I see you moved my post, no prob. I have also made an IRC channel for Blue Lotus. server : dalnet channel : #bluelotus . I am working on a way to add the irc channel to the website. Anyway, as I said, the site won't be full operational until about June.

I finally got a chance to check out your site. It looks like you are off to a good start. The Blue Lotus theme sounds like a good idea. Very original and I would think it would attract some true collectors.

I warn you... running these websites takes a ton of work!
