No offense to anyone that use toothpick but drawing on a action figure can darker or lighter the area your aiming for. Always use a brush as it can smooth the surface much better and cause less stress. I use a 10/0 soft brush. It's pricey but worth ever penny. It's tiny but has a thickness to it , so it won't fade anytime soon.
You could always go to Hobby Linc or Michael to look for the brush you want. To me, it's always better to look at the type of brush in person and feel it for yourself. Good Luck, Hope you find what you need in the future .
