What base coat/primer color is used to change a darker skin tone (I.e. Storm) to a lighter skin tone (I.e Jean Grey)

Thanks Doc...don't ever lose that great sense of humor.

Thanks Buzzy...I just ordered a set of Model Masters Flesh paints. I'll order the Citadel paints next payday.

To answer your question - You might try the Foundation Tallarn Flesh as your base and then start layering lighter flesh tones over it. Or just Model Masters White Primer and go from there.

I've started using the Model Masters Flesh paints and I gotta say I like them way better than the Citadel offerings - much more natural and realistic especially when you do drybrush layers. The MM Light Flesh is way better looking than the Citadel Elf Flesh which is a little too yellow. Unless the character is Asian - then it works to mix it with the Citadel Bronze Flesh.

Overall I'm really happy with a lot of the Citadel Paints especially their Foundation series and the Model Masters Acrylics. those are my main paints now.

The Citadel Foundation line is super tough too. Won't totally rub but seems to hang on pretty dam good. They were made to be the best basecoats you can find.

Lol, just remember you can't paint brown and expect it to turn peach just by painting on top of white. (white makes things look brighter)
