joints that can't be popped

Posted in Custom Workstation

Are there joints that were made so they couldn't be taken apart? I am trying to remove the legs and arms of an X-men movie super poseable cyclops. The sockets at the shoulders and legs won't come out. I tried the hair dryer and the boil and pop doesn't seem to work at all.

Still having problems leave the figure in boiling water a little longer. I suggest using a wash cloth to get a gripe on the arm. It might take a few times warming the body up to get it out.

Is there any tool to use? I am having a hard time, and so far damaged the joint of the left leg. I am tempted to just dremel out the joints and make my own. The part that plugs in to the figure is plastic but the part around it that make the ball part of the jointis rubber and stretches out when I try to pull it out.

if youre talking about the thing that connects the arm itself to the torso of the figure then yea it was made to be heated and popped
