Does anyone offer a 12" to 6" Hydroshrink/casting

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hey everyone,

I'm in the midst of doing a Summer Glau and Arnold Terminator customs, and can't find a decent head for either in the 6" scale. Most comparable headsculpts are McFarlane or NECA scale, and those are usually far too big. I've found custom made heads on eBay for about $20.00 that fit 12" scale (1/6?) scale figures.

I've read up on the process here and in an issue of Toyfare:

...but it's a little beyond my abilities at the moment (I'm constantly moving back/forth between cities for my teaching program/placment).

Q: Is there anyone around here who offers a service where I could mail them 1 or 2 heads, and have them conduct the hydroshrink/recasting process? I'd be willing to pay for the service of course.

Thanks everyone!

1 Quart is $25
1 Gallon is $88

We'd appreciate it if you took this up! Yeah, the pressure pot eliminates any hidden bubbles which may cause holes on the piece.

Heyya - what are the costs of hydroshrink? I understand that having a pressure pot helps with the casting process. If I can get a handle on the related costs, I might start something like this up myself.

This would be great, imagine all those 12-inch movie-star heads in ML scale? I swoon at the thought of a Kate Beckinsale I just don't think it would be cost effective for them, Hydroshrink is expensive :[
