Custom decals for an uneven surfacE? (action figures' chest)

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi everyone,

Since I wanted to mod a Sinestro Corp Sinestro Variant DCU figure into a Red Lantern (new head, etc) - I wanted to know:

Does anyone know of a good tutorial (with references to what materials) that shows how to generate a custom decal using a home inkjet printer?

I'm terrible at drawing circles/emblems (I need better paint brushes for starters), and being able to design something in photoshop, scale, print and apply it would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Cheers,
-Blayne

Are you talking about printed decals from a regular printer? I print it out, cut it really close to the lines so no white paper appears, then coat the surface really lightly with superglue and it should stay. Sometimes I give it another super glue seal around the edges.

This stuff is what Buzzy Fret uses, ask him for details!

I can't help you with the actual label part as I have no experience with it, but PM me and I'll send you the Red Lantern symbol I made recently. It'll save you some work, anyway?
