Anyone got tips on producing ice?

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hello, I am a noob and am actually making my own mock package design and figure to go with it for my class as well as for my portfolio. My idea is ice-related. The hero lives in an ice environment. So I need to get the package to look icey.

I was wondering how can I make the package look icey with a 3-d effect (such as crystals). Is resin a good idea? Do they make a light weight resin? I've never used resin before, so if I were to apply it to bristo paper would its weight crush bristo even tough its a thicker paper?

I would appreciate any help at all thank you

What about putting some rocks on a plastic package blister and vaccuforming it?

you could put some semi transparent foggy paper over the clear window of the packaging
