Sealant Question

Posted in Custom Workstation

Does anyone know the long term effects from Dullcote, and Crystal clear?? I usually use Dullcote, sometimes undercoated with Crystal Clear if there is white on the figure. I'm wondering what they look like after a few months, years, etc. All of my figures get shipped off to clients so I've never seen what the sealant does to a figure in the long run.

Does it crackle? Attract dust? Is it better to not use a sealant at all?

thanks for any help.

better than Dullcote? God knows I wouldn't miss shelling out for that stuff.

I've had my Jill custom sealed since I finished her and she has never lost her color nor has the sealant cracked and caused abnormallities. If you get a chance use the Krylon matte finish thus far it seems to be the best that I have used.

I only use sealent when it is esential because sometimes it changes the coller of the paints.
