Can anyone identify this 1970s Robot Action Figure?

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone is able to identify this action figure? It had a switch on the back that allowed two yellow doors to open on his chest before a second switch fired two spring loaded rockets. He was articulated at the shoulders, knees and hips and was given to me for christmas in 1978(!) My brother received a similar one who fired rockets from the knees and was more yellow in colour.

I should point out that this was in the UK and was probably purchased from British Home Stores (now BHS) or similar chain store.

If anyone can name this character I will be forever in their debt!

Thanks for looking

MM

Thankyou so much! That gives me some search criteria for eBay, now to track one down...

Have a great Xmas,

Shogun Warriors? Didn't they have a Godzilla doll with a rocket fist thing that led to so many, many unnecassery dirty jokes?

It appears to be one of the Shogun Warriors... Often made to look like "Guys in rubber suits" and sometimes would have popular bots made in toy form... I had the Tranzor Z one when I was a pup
