Do youknow of such a boring figure?

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi everybody. I'm new here so bear with me. I've never customized any action figures before because I can't justify desecrating 1 or more action figures to create one piece of crap (based on my skill level (most of you guys a freakin' amazing)). I can paint, but I can't sculpt. But I finally found something I want regardless of what it costs, but I can't pay someone else to do it because essentially I want a Group of 3 of them.

By now (if you're still reading) you're wondering what it is I want to make (you'll have read clues!). What I'm looking for would be the most boring figure, a Man in plain pants and a plain baggy turtleneck sweater. I'm not looking for the superhero physique, just plain civilian clothing in NECA/McFarlane-style or even Marvel Legends. I'm not worried about the legs too much, mostly it's the turtleneck (remember, I can't sculpey anything). Any suggestions would be nice.

Also, if you have any ideas for 3 different hairless heads that could be painted Blue. Normal human heads, no masks or facial hair. It's for a musical group that play instruments such as Airpoles and Paddle Tubulums.

Did you guess what I want to make?

If you're looking for wrestlers in suits try matt stryker and vince mcmahon, they may be too muscley and articulated for your needs though.

comicfigs.net may have pictures of figures that may be helpful in your project

I'm not sure what to suggest for a body but there are quite a few good bald heads in that scale, DMC Direct sells casts of several:

Thanks.

I was hoping for Neca-style 6-7 Inch figures so that they would go well with my other music figures. Most music figures have little-to-no articulation so Neca would be the most likely to have what I'm looking for. They've done more than a few figures with suits but I haven't found anything with plain-old cotton turtleneck. ML, DC and WWE figures seem to be hot for fodder, so I was wonering if anyone knew of any figures that would suit my purpose. or at least a good internet archival source of pictures from these lines to help me find it myself.

btw, I love your idea for 3 3/4" TMNT!

Ah, Blue Man Group, what scale are you looking to make them in? Also if you want to practice sculpting you can get a basic figure from the dollar store to practice on or just see what you can do with a lump of clay.
