How in the WORLD do you use this stuff ? I can't it to adhere to my figures like testors

imo, the only good use of tamiya paint is when you mix in some of their own paint thinner. I typically never use that brand anymore. anything testors is the way to go. all of their acrylics are nice. I don't thin down the model masters though....theyre usually very thin to start. of course, making a wash is a different story

I use Tamiya sometimes but I don't thin them with water like I do with MM acrylics. I thin them with rubbing alcohol.

At times, I'll have to prime whatever I'm painting with my MM acrylics in order to get Tamiya to "bite" to the custom. It is not like this all the time but I know how you feel. My hobby store sells Tamiya for a buck less than Model Masters.

Try laying a coat or two of MM acrylic down then apply your Tamiya. Let us know how it works!

yes I washed the figure before I tries painting it, I'm just interested in usuing tamiya paints because they're cheap at my local hobby shop and they have a lot of colors.

I don't use them myself. Did you wash the figure and/or prime it. Both of these should help.
