glueing the plastic in capes

Posted in Custom Workstation

I have a DCSH Superman cape that has chunk of it cut off. I want to know if any one has tried to glue one these capes back together and succeeded. What did you use? I want to maintain the flexibility of it and I don't think super glue will do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

1. Maybe, if you're flying him around the room and playing with it like you're 7 years old. If it is going on a shelf as a collection piece it should be fine.
2. http://www.eclecticproducts.com/ag_adhesives.htm Google is your friend.

epoxy glue works pretty well. I'd advise scoring each end to give the glue something extra to hold onto.

Thanks bob but won't rubber cement just come off? Also what is Amazing goop? I was wondering I anybody had used like a solvent to dissolve the two end pieces and then bonded them together? Kind of fused or something.

Rubber cement or Amazing Goop. either of those should work.
