Thinning Paint

Posted in Custom Workstation

So I have citadel paint. It seems thick so I wanna thin it with water. How do I do this if the paint is in a pot? Do I spill it out on a palette?

I have tried using a dropper but it just wasted a lot of paint

I use a medicine dropper to put a small drop of water on a gatorade lid or my desk then I dip the brush in the paint and mix it with the 3 drops or so of water, usually get a nice "blood" consistancy, thats what works best for me.

I just dip the brush in the paint. wipe it on the pallet, dip my finger on a cup of water, let the water drop on the pallete with the paint, and then mix it with the brush.

What I usually do is put a tiny bit of water in a plastic mouthwash cup and load up some paint on a brush and mix it in with the water. It usually does the trick.
