Wolverine Claws

Posted in Custom Workstation

Anyone have any idea how to attach metal claws to a bare fist of a figure? The tutorial of Kyle Robinson require a figure with the things the claws attach on and Jin Saotome's tutorial has plastiweld which is not available in the Philippines. Better if the claws can be detachable.

Any firm round plastic piece that won't break off and metallic paint would adhere to would work. Just don't drill the holes too big. If need be the tubing from let's say an earphone would work but doesn't accept paint as well. I used the tubing from a figure because it had the telescoped look I wanted.

What if I don't have tubing?

If you look at my Hydra Prime 001, I made the claws removable by cutting thin piece of another figures tubing and drilled a small hole in each one and glued them on his hand. Then dremeled down a bobby pin underneath one end to give the claws the right fit. Then I sharpened the other end to a point. Worked great!

Yeah. What you could do if you want is use the safety pin technique?
Cut the pin part off to be a claw and make a hole using a dremel and if the
Fit isn't super snug use some glue to snug it up. Like tightening a joint. Best of luck.

You would be best off drilling holes just the size of the claws in the fist. This way they could come out without any glue.
