Question about Tamiya clear paint ?

Posted in Custom Workstation

I asked a buddy at my work to pick me up some Tamiya clear paints (Red/Blue) because the store is closer to his place and all was good when he showed up with my paint but he also got me something else and to be honest I'm not really sure what it's use would be, I was hoping someone here on the realm has used this before and could tell what to do with it ?....the product is Tamiya Clear X-22, thanks.

Tamiya's X-22 is what it says it is: a clear coat to coat your paint work in a clear and protective varnish. They also have a matte version and I believe a semi-gloss as well. Personally I prefer Model Master's acryl gloss coat for brushing, but Tamiya is awesome for airbrushing.

I just picked some up, and I am hoping to use it soon. I mainly like the gloss finish it has.

I've never used it myself but I've heard that it is a good clear coat especially on metallic colors.
