Rotating animation set-up

Posted in Custom Workstation

I get asked about how I make the rotating 360 degree animations for my figures fairly frequently, so I thought I'd take some pictures of the set-up I use for shooting them. I take sixteen photographs of the figure (one every 22.5 degrees) and then upload them all as separate layers, within a single image file, in a free art program called GIMP. I then crop out any unwanted excess space, perform any additional edits, if necessary, and then save the whole shebang as an animated gif file (loop forever with a 140 millisecond delay between frames).

Great info. Often wondered how you pulled that off.
