Need Help again guys

Posted in Custom Workstation

First of all thanks to those that had given me advice, tips, and answers. Now here I am agian seeking for help. I am customizing hayato from marvel vs capcom. Anyways I used marvel legends bullseye as a base body. After doing all the sculpting, all I needed is to paint. But I broke his arm, I broke the peg(is that what it's called?) that connect between the shoulder joint and bicep/arm. Now the peg is stuck inside the arm. Now the question is, how can I fix it? How can I remove that stuck peg inside? Or can I replace the whole arm including the shoulder ballpoint without cranking the torso? Will heat and pop work on removing the shoulder ball joint?

Great advice. Another method is to drill a small hole in each end, put in a firm piece of wire for support and use a dab of plastic epoxy glue to reconnect. Too much and you will have no articulation though. The screw is easier for most people.

Take the time to find a screw with roughly the same size head as the broken peg. Drill the shoulder ball, install the screw to the same length as the old peg and reconnect. A bit easier said than done, but that's pretty much it.

So, It will probably be tricky to do anything without cracking open the torso but my suggestion is to drill out the old peg, and replace the shoulder that broke with a new one that still has an intact peg. Then cut the new peg down and shape it till it is roughly the shape of a V starting out small and getting larger. Then you should be able to heat the peg up till it is soft and pliable and push it inside the shoulder and because of it's V shape it will go in but won't come out again. I've used this method with other joints(mostly neck joints and wrists) but never with a shoulder but in theory it will work the same.
