Paint Revoltech Joints or Color Match?

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hello,

I am considering my first custom using a Revoltech figure as the base. Maybe someone with more experience could help me with a few short questions:

Do these joints require a lot of prep work before painting like Marvel Legends' figure joints? Is sanding necessary on the joint itself, or on the limbs to which they make contact? Would I be better off just tracking down Revoltech joints of the color that I want?

Thanks a lot. I am always grateful for the support of the many great customizers on the forum.

Do you have any white joints? I have had some luck with dyeing plastic a different color. You need to start with a lighter color to make it work well. Though I did manage to change an orange mold into a dark brown.
