Remember when McFarlane figs were worth buying?

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

I do, you could get them cheap at discount stores and they came packed with accessories, and the figure was pretty cool to boot! Even the packaging was awesome, lots of graphics, they even came with instructions on where to put all those crazy weapons and items! Here's a great example, I got the Necromancer figure from the Spawn: Dark Ages line for a buck! The accessories alone made this worth the buy, but the figure made me freak, it looks just like my friend Catherine (a little too much eye-shadow, but still, lol) Don't you just love it when a figure looks like someone you know? Creepy and cool.

Anyway, pics!

Seriously, I mean, how many people do you think would buy them if Todd did a 4H sculpted line starting with Spawn, going up through all his old char. and with the articulation of ML/LCBH?

He'd make a dollar or so, I think

I just recently got a bunch of stuff from Spawn series 24-26 for dirt cheap. I usually just rip off the armor and weapons and sometimes heads and hands and throw them on S.A. bodies. I did a nice Raven Spawn type guy like that.

I have all the movie maniacs line bar a rare couple and they are excellent in both sculpt and detail. I just wish they went back to it rather than all th sports and halo they keep churning out now

My one regret in life is that I was still into power rangers and stuff in the late 90's... I was seriously meant to be born in the 80's and not sucky '94

As a kid growing up in the late 90s with these figures on nearly every page of Toyfare, there was nothing I wanted more.

I love those old figures! I love Necromancer and really dig the Skull Queen also, I thinl she would make a great base for a Hela custom!

I got some spawn series IV or V, or VI, anyways it's the medieval spawn, and the one with no mask, and malebolgia head on one hand, and the sword with green blood on the other, anyways, those figure look great and all, they barely move, and the material feels so fragile, I barely dare to touch them, first time I move medieval spawn arm, a piece of armor jumped off, I had to glue it back

yhea I think what is relly great about these older Mc figures is the combination of a great sculpt and good aticulation.
