Gwen Stacy's Coat

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hello all! I am brand new to the board, and customising, so treat me gently!
I have started working on a Gwen Stacy to add to my Spider-Man Marvel Legends collection, seeing as it doesn't look like there will ever be an official release.

I have all the pieces ready to go - the body will be the Spider-Man Mary Jane figure (which was complete with a wooden board don't forget!) the face from Teen Titans Wonder Girl.

BUT I have hit a snag!

I need her icon green coat, but I just cannot seem to find a suitable one anywhere! Can anyone advise as to what coats are out there that would be suitable for the Spidey 3 MJ figure and which I should buy?

Photos or detailed descriptions would be handy.

Thank you all!!

If you have some of that rubber dip stuff, you could try making one from scratch. Make a coat form around the figure's body with aluminum foil, cut it to size, give it the dip, and then add any additional details you want (lapels, pockets, a belt, buttons, etc.)

I believe I've also seen some Gwen customs over the years with soft goods coats, which doesn't look too bad if you can find some material that's thin enough for the 6-7" scale. Hit up your local thrift stores and check out the Barbies and Bratz, you never know, you may find the perfect garment for her.

Hmm, not to keen on Angelica (plus, at looking at pictures I am unsure how her coat even works?) and the BAF Jubilee is perfect but SUPER expensive!!

Does anyone have a spare BAF Jubilee coat? Failing that, any more suggestions at all? I am open to all and every single one

The Jubilee coat would probably work well but if you want something a little cheaper I used a Pirates of the Caribbean Angelica's coat on my Gwen. I think it works well but might not quite be accurate enough for some, but worth at least checkin out. the figures are around 10 bucks.
