Polystyrene, where to get it?

Hello all.

I want to work on a custom and will need some polystyrene as I see it being used for pieces. I need white and not paper thin, more like 5 or so sheets of paper. It will be painted.

Is there something I can buy anywhere that is made from this material or do I have to order it from somewhere?

Most hobby shops will have it. I always get mine from Hobby Town, it's near the train set materials. You might not have a Hobby Town near you, but you might have another hobby store. Not sure if they'd have it but you could even try maybe an art store. Other than that, I'm not sure where you could look unless you get really lucky at Walmart or a similar store. Of course, you can always order it online, Amazon and ebay should have plenty of options.
