ok so I just started and im finding the brushes I have are very small tiped but still arent letting me do small details and fine lines
is there a particular brush you all would recomend to use

I agree with darththomas81 toothpicks, pins, needles, or anything with a hard, fine point, work great for small detail work.

I just wash my brushes with water, but I do so immediately after I finish painting. I use regular cheap old brushes you can find a nice bag of assorted sizes/types in Wal-Mart for around $5.

I often use tooth picks or pins to add small detail such as eyes. They don't bend like paint brushes so you can be more accurate with them. Also I use games workshop paints and just use water to wash them.

ok I do have testors and I am washing in paint thiner but rinsing with water first I wanted to know if I was doing it right
but im still gonna need some better brushes I got a ton of differnt ones but they all seem to be to big for some of the small detail stuff im doing

if you go to your local art/craft supply store you should be able to find a nice assortment of brushes for cheap. most have a use of some sort. also if you use testors paint (best paint in my opinion) then wash the brushes with paint thinner.

I have brushes for use in water and in thinner that way they never mix. I'll try and get pics of the ones I use for you this weekend.

another brush question what do you guys wash them with
just water
nail polish remover
paint thiner

cause I really wanna do this right

btw just finished my first project will have pics tommorow
