terminator question

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

does anyone have the mcfarlane terminator 3 box set battle ravaged terminator?

If so, I wanted to know if the exposed leg is able to bend at the knee, with the help of a modification. It appears that Mcfarlane just used the same leg from their movie maniacs endoskeleton, and added damaged fleshy pieces. I know the knee is not able to bend because the molded flesh has turned it into a solid piece. I was wondering if you could take an exacto knife and cut along the seems where the flesh is covering the joint to loosen the joint up, or if it is just a completely sculpted piece altogether with no hidden joint underneath.

if you have one of these and are willing to experiment, it would be a great help. I would rather not buy one of these off of ebay, and wait six weeks, to find it's useless to me.

(also if this works, and you have one to spare, I would be more than happy to buy it. it would save me the trouble of having to buy the whole box set and spend $80.00.)

Sadly the Playmate's T Salvation figures are better articulated than McFarland's. Neca is probably the best way to go for parts. I use the playmates and even kenner figures for 6" parts but otherwise I'd use the NECA.

There is no hidden joint.

The leg/ankle twists in a circle but there is no other joint there.

If you need endo parts I highly recomend NECA's endo that's currently out.
