Conan (Conan) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:10161
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Conan
Date Added:September 27, 2008
Base Figure:Hasbro Hulk legends Doc Samson
Height:7.00 inches
I loved the old Mego Conan. I had one but sold it in '82. I was inspired to do this figure from the many ones I have seen from Maelstrom, Aneses, Toymaker B, and Buzzy Fret. I used the Doc Samson figure, hair from Marvel select White Queen, Vinyl and googly eyes for the guantlets and belt. Sword and axe from LCBH Conan. I put a spike and leather strap on the axe. Leather for the boots. Sculpted the fur. Hand painted and airbrushed it for shading.

The more I look at this paintjob it makes me sick...especially after seeing Jesse Custer's new Conan. I'll never be able to paint as good as that, but it does make me want to try and do better. I really hate the face on this one, it looks too dirty. The skin tone looks muddy, I'm taking this back to drawing board and see if I can improve any on it. CROM, Zeus, Odin,.... Jobobba, somebody help me!!
