Here I have Kalibak lesser son of Darkseid. He is based on the Super Powers line's rendition of Kalibak. I worked completely from reference and adjusted where I had to to make him as accurate as possible. I came across a lot of nice techniques in making this figure. The hair and headgear make me most proud of the whole figure. Demon was the perfect fit for Kalibak. I had to deepen the ab crunch joint to give him the proper stoop. The boot tops and gauntlet sleeves and bandolier and head are sculpted from Apoxie Sculpt... that stuff ca stretch out for quite some time, I'm still not down with my first set I bought a year ago. He is a bigger figure than the rest, so If I package him I am torn between doing a "super powers" type packaging or just settling with making him a Deluxe addition to the Comic Heroes mantle. Dig?
Well Realmers,... We almost had it. Looks like Mattel decided to short-change us one last time as they send us off with a less than stellar tribute to the few remaining Super Powers line. Oh well... Can't blame a guy for trying... But a whole company?... HA!!!!
