Bringing MORE evil to my Superman The Movie line up is Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor. I've been wanting to do this to round out the set. I was at an antique store here in Memphis known for its piles of 80s/90's toys and ran across this Star Trek Something Something O'Brien figure. It is from the later 90's 7" series. The head shape called to me so I bit for 5 bucks I had a donor. The nose was really sharp though so I took hot glue and just dabbed a bit on the tip of the nose. Then I took a lighter and just flame washed it for a few seconds and BAM Hackman Honker!! I sculpted a little bit of hair onto the forhead and sides and it really came together as a pretty nice likeness.
The Body is made from a DCSH Clark Kent upper torso and Dark Knight Joker's legs from the hips down. Leg transplant successful I moved to sculpting the 70's lapels and ascot. I even went as far as pre pin striping the jacket with an exacto so this jacket is basicaly perferated. This was supposed to leave me guide lines for white paint later which I may still do, I just don't have a brush with a fine enough tip on it.. I'll think of something.
Two hours of paint and cartoons later and I had my super baddie in attendance to round out my Superman The Movie 6" Movie Masters Collection.
