Armageddon (Incredible Hulk) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:30874
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Incredible Hulk
Creator:Ole Jade Jaw
Date Added:July 8, 2011
Base Figure:DC Direst Arkillo
Height:8.00 inches
I proudly present to you...Armageddon, Warlord of the Trojan and vengeful father of the late Trauma.
It is awesome but entirely coincidental that as I finish this custom, he makes his return to comics after almost 20 years. I think the Arkillo base makes for a nice hulky sized villian. (sorry Pulpy?) This guy took a while. Casted a Hulk "the End" head and modified it, sculpted all the armor and used styrene for all the steel pieces. The cannon came from some cheesey Terminator fig. It is the closest I could get the an accurate looking one. The cloak/sash was a vinyl sign, a heat gun and 10 very burnt fingers. Finished with a bunch of assorted paints. It took like 6 coats of that purple to look solid. Well, I like it. How'd I do?
Keep on blastin'
p.s. If I needed a name for them, I call the 2 consecutive pictures "anguish turns to anger." 90's Hulk fans should remember the scene I was referencing.

Thanks a lot. yeah, I have an industrail 1000 degree heat gun. If I could give one piece of advise....DON'T get that one. It's way overkill and pretty dangerous actually. Otherwise, I use it to pop parts, bend vinyl and rubber ect... Its better than boiling and then waiting for it to dry.

Bro, your Hulk customs are so random and yet from the same timelime . I love these. These are the guys I grew up reading. Your matte painting style is becoming very prominent. Your work is very professional looking. Nice sculpts too. You're casting look great as well. Any thought to casting orders? A lot of customizers need good casts done!

Thanks J, I really appreciate it. Yeah, this was the period that hooked me on the Hulk for life. Peter David introed some great characters that I think look cool as figures. I've got some old school characters in mind for my next ones. As far as casting goes, If I get better at it, I would do it for others, but right now it is trail and error for me. It's tricky figuring out how to position them for the best outcome. So far I have made casts where only facial expression mattered and I was sculpting the rest anyway. I started doing it with the idea that I could buy more expensive, loose figs, cast them and resell the figs. I have'nt done that yet though.

Love everything about this character and loved the story, but liked the parthenon when he was with them. You did a fantastic job, spot on. I can't wait to see more, my friend.
